As it happens, so is Allegiant Air. :)

This placard at Game Plane gates suggests that if you would rather fall asleep on the flight with a copy of Killing Jesus in your face, it won't be that hard to make that happen.

The fact that you have to be the one who actively declines to participate, plus the language that the ticket agent will "attempt" to accommodate you suggests otherwise to me.  I imagine if a snotty passenger refuses to move and refuses to sign a release, they can blur his face or something.  But plane travel is stressful enough for a lot of people anyway, even people jetting off on holiday.  This strikes me as something that could really be an annoyance for some people.

And AIR SHUTTLE DISASTERS?

Everybody noticed that, because that was the crux of the entire gag.

/you should probably see Airplane II

So that was from an actual thing and not just an image macro.

I wonder if they built that specifically for the film or if the '79 series board happened to be laying around at NBC and Paramount/ZAZ called and asked if they could use it.

(I have never seen the film...first one is classic. Hell, I didn't even mind the '79 edition of Jeopardy either once I got to see it, even if there wasn't much reason for eliminating players.)

Ah, probably.  That's a total *whoosh* for me.

I'll blame the fact that Airplane II is three years older than I am.

It's not nearly in a class with the first one or with the Police Squad TV series, but it has its moments. "I don't do impressions. My field is psychiatry."

Matt O--would you say Nielsen was a friggin' clown in Airplane! or not until Naked Gun, when Drebin became a doofus?

Considering it's missing the exclamation point, I vote for the former. But I could be wrong.

It's also significantly smaller, and the amounts are not in multiples of 25 or 50. A nice homage, but almost certainly a new prop.
