They missed the anniversary by half-a-year, didn\'t they?
These days I am unsurprised by anything the show does. Given how poorly the game is played these days they could do a week of Plinko and stay under budget.
Maybe that\'s an obscure homage to the German version of Plinko, where you win one of everything you drop a chip into, but duplicates are no good.
Or they\'re in over their heads. Your call.

Yeah, I remember seeing a mention of it on Steve Beverly\'s old news site, as well as on the ticker during some news program.
For a stunt episode during premiere week, why not? I will say this much for the Drew era, they like to take chances with special episodes and such...
I love that they\'re going off the board and trying things the previous leadership would NEVER have gotten behind. I\'m excited to see how this goes.
My first thought: I\'m curious as to how they\'ll play Plinko six times without the show running exceptionally long. Each pricing game has an expected length of time it takes to play -- if you schedule Plinko six times in a row, then you end up with approximately five minutes more gameplay than you can fit in the episode.
Assuming we aren\'t being fed a farrago here, you could possibly do some variations on the theme where some contestants play a \"one-decision\" game where they drop one chip and either win a prize or don\'t.

More seriously, how much time would they save by skipping the reveal and not explaining the rules every time?
Based on the article, they aren\'t gonna be skipping the reveal, but I imagine they could save plenty of time that way.
After the surprise is known it isn\'t like you have to go through the rigamarole of the buildup, the winner could walk up on stage and Drew could be waiting with that first chip.
