I wasn't a fan of his vocal style at all, but became a little more of a fan through following him on Twitter. He had a certain genuineness about him. I also liked the rapport he was developing with Drew. I believe he'll move on and find new success elsewhere, though maybe not as an announcer.

Rich refused, so Fremantle showed him the door. It's the same tactic the major (evil) radio conglomerates has been doing to their air talent in the last 5 years -- a less-notable role for less money.

I think Rich would definitely be a better fit for Pyramid than for Price, if that was indeed Fremantle's thinking.

Tim, perhaps you were thinking of Emeril Lagasse's cooking game show, also in contention for the slot? That show is being produced by Fremantle.
