Plenty of nods to the first movie, and tributes to Bob Barker and others that appeared in the first movie that have passed on including Frances Bay, Joe Flaherty, Richard Kiel, and Carl Weathers. Weathers' character was written into the sequel as he intended to reprise the role, but he died and some of the script had to be rewritten. Lavell Crawford plays Chubbs' son.
Ken Jennings also has a brief cameo, and he's spared from any physical contact from Happy Gilmore.
