For those wondering what this one-shot announcer did before/after LMaD '80...

Vancouver Broadcasters

And is it just me, or does our guy Chuck look a lot like his LMaD announcing predecessor, sans glasses? :-)

I'm working on a 23-year memory here, but didn't Chuck wear glasses when announcing on the show? And, yes, at the time those shows were presented, I thought the same thing about his resemblance to Jay Stewart.

He did indeed wear glasses on LMaD...when showing an ep of it at GSC-X, the attendees remarked that he "looked like Jay Stewart and sounded like Brian Cummings". :-)

I've never seen an episode of LMAD '80, but I can certainly see a resemblance between Chuck Chandler and Jay Stewart.

He's gone gray and it says his career goes back to the late 60s. I don't remember him looking the age on "TalkAbout." :-/

Gee, maybe Wayne was a teenager when he started out. But then again, didn't most game show hosts start their careers in their teens?

Cordially,

P.S. I thought Chuck Chandler had died.....

I spy a photo of Talkabout announcer Dean Hill on those pages as well. But, alas, sorry Chuck--no Mary Lou Basaraba.

She worked in the eastern part of Canada, not the western part, eh?

Just out of curiosity, what did the 1980-81 LMAD's set look like?
