I'm trying to remember a certain website that had this info, but I can't recall it. Hopefully, you guys can help me fill in the blanks. I know that there were more game shows on network and syndie TV on 1975 then in any other year. My question is how many network and syndie TV games were on in '75 as well as in 1990? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Using Curt Alliaume's excellent site, I count 44 shows airing in 1975.

Really, 44? From the website I remember (I don't think it exists anymore), it gave a lower number than that. Somewhere in the mid-high 20's if I recall.

Since I was bored at work, I decided I'd try to figure out the answer to 1990. Now you know what customer service reps are doing when they put you on hold. :-)

Between my own memory and a little help from Wikipedia I counted 39 shows, of which 5 I've never heard of or seen. I'd type the list out but I'm on my mobile and it would take all day. :-)

Jefferson Graham's book had a sidebar counting only those that were on the air at the beginning of the year, and that number was around 26 or so, but Curt's website Mark linked to is correct when you include replacements, etc. 44 different shows through the course of the year.
