I am just watching a bit of Glee on time shifting - there's a game show subplot for those who are interested.  Take note of the logo :)

Yes, I caught that.  :)  Either Executive Producer Ryan Murphy or their production designer were big fans of this late-70's to mid-80's classic.

Can we be a little more specific for those of us who can't stand Glee?

A few characters participate in a quiz-bowl-like local TV show.

The logo for the show, Smarty Pants, is patterned after the Wink-era Tic-Tac-Dough logo.

Fact To Make You Feel Old: Just about every contestant who appears in a Price is Right Teen Week episode from here on out has only known a world where Drew Carey has been the host.

Spoofing midwestern high school quiz bowls?  What is the world coming to?

Of course, I'm not too hung up on accuracy coming from the makers of Glee.  The fact that the Jane Lynch character would have been fired twenty times over is one thing.  Where I really lost it was their approach to high school football in their special post-Super Bowl episode.  The only chance our team had to win the game was a fumbled snap by the other team's offense on the last play.  So naturally, they're lined up in shotgun formation.
This has been another installment of Matt Ottinger's Masters of the Obvious.
Stay tuned for all the obsessive-compulsive fun of Words Have Meanings.

I'd so love to see that episode online!  Speaking of GS episodes on sitcoms and all.  I am watching the Captain Planet marathon on Boomerang and I think at 4:30/3:30 central there is going to be the episode "You Bet Your Planet" with Casey Kasem and Gene Wood.
