Marc Horowitz is the "guinea pig" on the recent G4 show It's Effin' Science.

This gets the green light while Late Night Liars gets 8 episodes.  Wow.

I'll wait to see it to make judgment, but the host's assessment of the show is probably correct.
Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.

When watching "Double Dare," I would get bored if the contestant spent more than 15 seconds on this obstacle.

Quote from: Marc Horowitz
I'm one of two hosts on the show [...] but seriously, how ridiculous is this show? I mean how low can you go? [...] Pile is set to debut in November 2010 on The Game Show Network (GSN). Gee can't wait.
Then why the hell are you hosting this?! I'll give you consolation points for referring to GSN as Game Show Network, though.

Quote from: Marc Horowitz
"Inspired by 'Hands on a Hard Body,' 'Pile' is an extreme race to the finish!
"Extreme" isn't the word I'd use to describe it. "Extremely-lame s***", yes.

Quote from: Marc Horowitz
Each week, Pile will present its contestants with a brand new heaping pile of rock, coal, bricks, wood, etc... The objective is to get to the center to uncover the prize. The first contestant to dig the prize out WINS!
Wait, wait, wait...if you're burying a prize underneath 300 tons of something, won't that something weigh down on the prize and maybe, oh I don't know...break it? Unless you're planning to use some "stand-in" like Downfall.

That summary leaves me with questions -- how many contestants are playing? Is it one pile for each contestant, or "one pile, first to the center wins"? How will the players remove the obstacles? Who's the other host? Will they be covering the prizes in something unorthodox (hay, ice, marshmallows, manure) at some point?

...And why should any of us give one frickin' iota of care?

/TV Game Show Vault + YouTube = proper Game Show Network.

(EDIT 11/11/14: Fixed broken quote boxes.)

I think you've probably pretty much summed up the show right there.

UGH!  How much lower can GSN go with this?  Why, even lower than Think Like a Cat as far as I'm concerned.  Really, a 300-ton pile of rocks just to dig out a TV?  No thanks.  I'll just leave it there.

GSN does realize there's 5 1/2 months until April Fools (I'm assuming)?

The Pile is shaped much like a pyramid.  I wonder if it will contain six subjects and a large dollar amount at the top.  Then they'd have something.

I don't like the title.  I prefer "Excavation."

That would have been its sixties title, when it was hosted by Lloyd Thaxton.  Then, the new GSN remake could have been called Pile: The All-New Excavation!

I'm calling "shenanigans" on his story, I'm not buying it.

I thought this would make a good topic for a show segment today (if it was true), so I called the GSN PR department and asked them directly since there had been no press release on it.

The PR contact said that GSN had no comment on this and that they were trying to verify the information themselves.
