where  ever ive lived. WOF and jeopardy has aired together, in  that order. wheel then jeopardy.  Sometimes when i travel  a station  would have them flipped; That felt  odd

do you have a  preference of order of  the 2

In the Detroit market they air that way - Wheel followed by Jeopardy. When I found out we were more the exception to the "regular" order, I was a little puzzled. It made sense to me to put the lighter, more accessible game first, and let those not interested in mental gymnastics leave the room come 7:30.

Back before he decided to stop even attempting to be funny, Dennis Miller preferred it the other way; his quip was something to the effect that Wheel came on after J! because "following the tequila of your own ignorance, it's nice to bite into the lime wedge of other people's stupidity."  Obviously, that was based on the scheduling in L.A. and New York, the only two cities that matter.

In Philadelphia its J! then Wheel.  I found it odd when visiting family in West Palm Beach the order is reversed.

Here in Denver, KMGH airs Jeopardy! right before Wheel, so it is what I am used to.  Where I lived previously, Des Moines, WHO airs Jeopardy! at 3:30 (after WWTBAM) and Wheel at 6:30, and it's been that way for many years.  A faded memory has me thinking that back in the 90s, Jeopardy aired on WOI and Wheel on WHO, but I'm not positive about that.

Wheel at 7
Jeopardy! at 7:30

I can't remember where I read this, but there's a story about how the protagonist was in a strange universe, like when you go on vacation to a town where Wheel and Jeopardy! air in reverse order. I lol'd because it's true.
"I just wanna give a shoutout to my homies in their late-30s who are watching this on Paramount+ right now, cause they couldn't stay up late enough to watch it live!"

Now celebrating his 21st season on GSF!

Over the air (Albany), I get Wheel at 7 and Jeopardy! at 7:30.

Via DirecTV (NYC), I get Jeopardy! at 7 and Wheel at 7:30.

Nothing earth-shattering, but it's nice to have two opportunities to catch Jeopardy!

Milwaukee's got J! at 6, Wheel at 6:30 on WDJT (although it's more like 5:58 and 6:28, respectively)

Used to be that they were both on WTMJ before the big affiliate swap (with J! being at 3:30).

I can confirm Jeopardy! did indeed air on WOI until about five years ago.

From what I remember, KCBS in L.A. had WOF first, then J!. Both shows have been on KABC since around 1992, and have aired in reverse order since.

I've lived in three markets (well, one is sandwiched between two markets), and here are the orders they're aired in those markets:

New York/Philadelphia-Jeopardy! at 7, Wheel at 7:30 on ABC O&Os WABC and WPVI (that's the "sandwiched" market), J! at 5, Wheel at 5:30 on Long Island Indy WLNY
Jacksonville, FL-Wheel at 7, Jeopardy! at 7:30 on NBC affiliate WTLV
Erie, PA (current residence)-Wheel at 7, Jeopardy! at 7:30 on CBS affiliate WSEE (won't count the double run episode on NBC affiliate WICU at 5:30)

I've always remembered that J!'s first followed by WoF, but it wasn't always the case.  In 1983 when I was in upstate New York, WoF debuted that year at 7:30 on NBC affiliate WPTZ-TV 5 out of Plattsburgh but don't remember what was on at 7.  It wasn't untill the following year that J! debuted at the 7 PM slot.  When I visited some friend of my mom's best friend in the Richmond VA area(not sure what affiliate it was), WoF came on at 7 then J! at 7:30.  That was in 1995(probably the same now).  At least here in the Philly area, I can always count on J! at 7 & WoF at 7:30(minus any pre-emptions that may occur).  I prefer this order, starting heavvy, then ending ligh, just like many newscasts.

J!, then The Doctors, then the local news, then Brian Williams, then more local news, then Wheel.

Sorry that's not a particularly helpful answer to the question at hand, but I've never lived outside of Illinois.  I've never seen them together (outside of vacations), so I'm not even sure I could fathom them back-to-back.
