Have the two shows been in syndication long enough for one to have been #1 for 17 years and the other for 19? (Specifically, was there an older syndie Jeopardy! in the Fleming era?) Or were they tied for several years?

"Jeopardy!" is the number one quiz show--"Wheel" is a game show, not a quiz show. Or that's one possible rationale. (Those p.r. guys can't outsmart us ad guys.)

That's the way I always believed it. Wheel would be considered more of a puzzle type game, so to speak.
