Enjoy lots and lots of backstage TPIR photos and other fun stuff here. And yes, I did park in Syd Vinnedge's parking spot at CBS

I finally get to see what the new Contestants' Row displays look like. They're monitors now, right? Because I swear it looks like the same exact thing used for the last 33 years!

And I now love the turntable backdrop, esp. seeing it lit. It still looks somewhat retro, but modernized enough for the 2000s...

Oh goody, the corporate-sanitized version of g-r.net. I wonder how heavily they're going to wield their ability to control content posted by users.

This board is run by Matt Ottinger and Chris Clementson. You know who we are. Same with g-r.net. The closest thing I see to a person's name representing priceisright.com is "Your TPIR Website Editor", and there is Fremantle branding at the bottom of the page.

Call me cynical, but I don't see a thread titled "Bart: Fired or Retired?" staying open very long.

Seconded. It really does look fantastic, and actually makes the home base look more "open" than before.

BTW, did we already get an official axe on 3 Strikes? Cause if not, its absence in the Pricing Game section on that site says enough.
Fact To Make You Feel Old: Just about every contestant who appears in a Price is Right Teen Week episode from here on out has only known a world where Drew Carey has been the host.

It is neither absent from the show or the site.

Others, however...  ;)

But isn't that the idea Chris?  A website where new TPIR fans (and oldies) can just like the show, and like Drew, and be excited about it and post about it?

Since this thread is TPIR related, would anyone like to bet on when the inevitable bickerfest will break out?

Yeah, heaven forbid someone says something flattering about Drew or the changes the show made.

Loves it. It's all beautiful, I cannot wait to see it in HD. Plus, Craig Ferguson on the season premiere is right up my alley.

Great job, 33!

Well in all fairness, I don't think pentellit was necessarily taking a stance toward either side, or making it seem like praising Drew is taboo...

Nothing wrong with a Drew flatterfest, but I do have a problem with censorship. If flattering posts are the only kind of post they allow, they're going to have very little message traffic and people will still flock to g-r.net or here. On our board we do very little censoring based on opinions people express. It does get contentious here, but we allow our members to dish the dirt, short of committing libel. If someone posted "Bart: Fired or Retired?" on the Fremantle board and it's immediately taken down, you can kiss the original poster of that thread goodbye as well as those who wanted to discuss the subject.

I watched the preview for the new season. I saw Mike Richards face, and my stomach turned...

I think the thing that scares me the most about the new priceisright.com website is that they have a camo TPiR hat for sale in the store!

I can't see the message board being used that much, not for censorship issues (which there obviously would be in a thread such as 'Bart: Fired or Retired' or 'DREW CAREY SUXORZ'), but simply because it's a piss poor design. Seriously - can you follow the threads, because I certainly can't!
Cheers,
Mr. Brown, Esq.

That could be a replacement soap opera on CBS.
