Thanks to Fox's new fewer-commercials policy on J.J. Abrams' new series "Fringe" (and Joss Whedon's mid-season "Dollhouse"), the pilot on Sept. 9 will run 25 minutes short of two hours, so Fox will present a "preview" of "Hole in the Wall" at 9:35 p.m. ET:

Since Fremantle is shooting the shows as self-contained half-hours (which Fox will run two back-to-back in its Thursday night slot this fall), a complete show will most likely be seen.

An interesting move...because if for some reason, HitW tanks that first night, Fox will likely shelve the rest of the episodes, a la Rich List.

They seem to be putting a lot into this show...and I just can't see why.
