Well, Here I sit in Grand Rapids MI trying to find Temptation... and I can't find a website for the show, can't find a list of affiliates, and "Mynetwork TV" affiliate here doesn't seem to carry it. Is it even in this market? Is there a list of stations it's been cleared on?
If I can't find it, and I'm LOOKING for it, how is John Q. Public going to find it? Not a good thing.

Now that the locally-oriented TV Guide is history, I wonder where the public determines what's on TV... I'd love to see percentages for the various sources:
1) Internet listings (tvguide, zap2it, et al.)
2) The station's web site (which often reverts to one of the above)
3) Newspaper listings (daily or weekly mags, provided they are still printed-of course you may get just the abbreviated "prime time only" listings in the daily edition)
4) On-screen program guides/TV Guide Channel (assuming cable/digital cable access)
5) The national "bare-bones" TV Guide (for prime time on network affiliates)
6) Program promos-and then remembering to watch/DVR (provided said ads exist)
7) Channel surfing (if you have cable/digital, you have a lot of surfing potentially)
As a fan of local newscasts, when on the road, I used to buy TV Guides along the way-now I research before I go and prepare a list of stations and broadcast times... and then *hope* the zap2it cable lineup matches what you get in the hotel.. and that the cable wasn't split 40 times before it reached your room such that the signal looks like it was picked up with a coat hanger.
