Here's all 100 of them in alphabetical order... The ranking won't be revealed for a couple of weeks, but I have to think COD! has to be in the top 10-15....

Bob Eubanks said "Making whoopee"?  That's like saying Gracie Allen said, "Goodnight, Gracie."

This isn't the same survey that Ken Jennings was working on a few months back, is it?  'Cause there are far too many better Game Show catch phrases that could have been used besides "Makin' Whoopee".  

The least TV Land should have done was just use the term 'whoopee' as I don't even recall Bob ever putting those two words together.

Come on down!  Definitely Top 20, maybe Top 10.

Is that your final answer?  Probably in the high 20's or low 30's.

Making whoopie:  Probably near the middle of the pack although it was said quite often on TNG.

The tribe has spoken  Most likely a Top 10 ranking.

You're fired!  Definitely Top 10, maybe Top 5.

Maybe that was your point, but actually, Gracie Allen NEVER said "Goodnight, Gracie" when George Burns asked her to say good night. She simply said "Good night"

Seems to me there was a program which got a lot of mileage out of the phrase, "Will the real (BLANK) please stand up?". Another program made famous the phrase, "Is it bigger than a breadbox?".

I'd say they missed a few.

I seem to recall our group fixating more on "special grand prize chosen just for you" and "safely secluded backstage" (last one was my suggestion) as Newlywed Game catchphrases.  But what do we know?

And I don't think anyone answered the Ken question. I'm pretty sure he was researching a magazine article, which was (is?) to be about game show catchphrases specifically.

Which brings up an interesting query...

How would anyone feel about us doing our own in-board survey on game show phrases, like we did with shows and hosts?  I'll handle all the rules, scheduling and tabulating (unless someone else steps forward and insists, won't hurt my feelings), if the moderators approve and if there's more interest than "hell no" 's.
