Tuesday DoND ratings...
« on: December 21, 2005, 11:05:13 AM »
from Mediaweek

"Night two of NBC game show Deal or No Deal remained in the winner’s circle, with a first-place 8.2/13 in the overnights, 12.61 million viewers and a 4.6/14 among adults 18-49 from 8-9 p.m."

The 18-49 went up quite a bit...

Nice little bump in The Only Demographic That MattersTM </sarcasm>, and nice to see the show gain night-to-night in terms of viewers and households too.

The only thing there is in the way of DoND tonight is that adoption special on CBS. Otherwise there should be no problems with this.

You get good numbers tonight and I think you got some more DoND after these five somewhere down the line.

On Wednesday's episode they referred to this week as the 'premiere' week, so I think they are thinking they will be picked up.

Yeah, I suppose you can assume that until you hear Randy say "If you would like to be on Deal or no Deal...FORGET IT!"

Obviously, America said "deal."  *runs away*

In all seriousness, I'm very happy to hear this.

NBC sure has a "deal" pm its hands.  8.1 on Monday, 8/2 on Tuesday.  If that pattern holds, expect an 8.3 or 8,4 on Wednesday.  As for the 18-49s, going from a 3,4-4.6 is a big mpve.  I wouldn't be surprised to see at least a 5 or possibly a 6 here after the overnights cpme out in a little bit.

The Great Karlberg, ladies and gentlemen! Not only is he an eBay expert, but he predicts the ratings as well!
"I just wanna give a shoutout to my homies in their late-30s who are watching this on Paramount+ right now, cause they couldn't stay up late enough to watch it live!"

Now celebrating his 21st season on GSF!

The Wednesday ratings are this (courtesy of Marc Berman of MEDIAWEEK)........ 9.0/15 overall, 4.9/15 in 18-49. It's safe to say......the show's the surprise hit of the season.

It's safe to say the show did well with minimal competition during a time when not a lot of TV is being watched actively anyhow. No more, no less.

(Mind, I'd love it if it was a hit, because even with the horrible editing and ADR and broken gameplay and such, it's still good for the genre to have a show like that in the public eye.)

Very true, Chris. But, with all that shallow competition had the ratings been visiting with the Tidy Bowl Man, that would be disappointing news. So at least there's some encouragement.
Just please God don't let them add celebrities for a "special week" during a future cycle.

Oh, rest assured that NBC WILL find a way to screw it up, they're the dead-last network for a reason. :)

(Howie Mandel):  And if you don't take the deal, the dollar value could be $200,000, or even $300,000!  Let's see what the bank offers ...

(phone rings)

(Howie):  You're kidding!  OK, I'll tell him.

Craig, the bank's offering you a Scarecrow.  I'd suggest you take the Deal.
