Aaron Barnhardt's reliable TV blog pointed me to a lengthy article detailing the Wheel of Fortune tapings held in New Orleans just before hurricane Katrina, as seen through the eyes of several people. It's a good read.

Good read.

While I don't want to downplay Katrina's aftermath at all, according to some Wheel staffers I spoke to about New Orleans, aside from a long bus ride and plenty of rain, I think some of this was blown out of proportion.
Enjoy lots and lots of backstage TPIR photos and other fun stuff here. And yes, I did park in Syd Vinnedge's parking spot at CBS

Charlie O's "Seventeen and a half hour drive to Houston to find safe passage home" sounds like one hell of an experience.

I thinks the gulf cities are what were "blown out of proportion"!   ;-)
