We all know that many hosts only had one shot to host a show.  Which ones, in your opinion, deserved another chance?  And which ones rightfully only hosted one?

How about that Blake Emmons? :P

Patrick Wayne...goes w/out saying.

I think Ross Schafer was a great host for MG90. He did an extremely respectable job considering the shoes he was filling. He didn't host any other GS's, did he?

#1: It's Shafer.
#2: Yes he did---"Love Me, Love Me Not".

I thought Lew Schneider and Michael Carrington were alright, considering what they were given.

Politics aside, I kinda liked Michael Reagan's hosting of Lingo. Mostly casual, but with a little excitement when needed. He'd have to have a similar type of show - like Joe Farago's Break The Bank.

I recently got a signed pic from Ross, and I had mentioned Love Me, Love Me Not in the note I sent him.  He obviously has a sense of humor about that show, as his inscription reads, "You should be ashamed of yourself for watching Love Me, Love Me Not!  Ha Ha!!"

Well, depending on whether or not you count Fox's celebrity spelling bee from a few years back, my vote goes to John O'Hurley.

He also did a pilot for a show called Who Knew? in 1998 or 1999. It was a game similar to Balderdash, but with contestants trying to guess which celeb was giving the correct origin of a word or phrase.

The best one shot host IMO was Hugh Downs, made for very comfortable viewing at home.  Among latter day hosts, I would have liked to see Nick Clooney and Kevin O'Connell again, though I read Nick turned down any further game show offers.

And Art James hosted that game show at the end of Mallrats.

Neither are television game shows.

For the worst, I've made my feelings known about RODEO DRIVE's host.

Ah, Blakey Poo. Poor man. Any of our Canadian friends know what that chap is up to these days?
To mention someone not mentioned, I really enjoyed Al DuBois. During Bumper Stumpers, I'd play the Al DuBois Drinking Game. Every time he said, "Good stuff", down went a Michelob.
For the sake of this poll, I trust non-televised pilots do not count, yes?

I second my vote for Kevin O'Connell, though I haven't seen any of the pilots he did.  On "Go," he was comfortable around the celebrities, while at the same time kept the game moving (and entertaining).
