Jeopardy launching "J!: YouTube edition" next week

The long-running game show will premiere a special "YouTube edition" episode on March 31 on the J! YT edition.

Three "YouTube creators" will be competing for -- uh, relevancy?!? I've heard of one of them -- Rebecca Black was that bad singer from a while back, IIRC.

Monet was on Drag Race and Brennan is not only a public face of the streaming platform Dropout, he apparently won $50k on daytime Millionaire. So they all have some level of celebrity, but not ABC's Celebrity Jeopardy level of celebrity.

Brennan's all over the comedy channel Dropout (FKA CollegeHumor) which, while it can be an acquired taste, is a taste many have clearly acquired. Brennan's easily my favorite participant, even if I don't buy into every game they play on the channel. I tend to like the non-game content more, actually.

Rebecca Black was the only one I had heard of also.

This, in my mind, creates a LOT of questions. Is this a one-off? Will it be "broadcast" live?

I adore Jeopardy. I watch five days a week plus all the spinoffs (Celebrity Jeopardy, Pop Culture Jeopardy, etc.). I'm willing to give Jeopardy Youtube Edition a try, but I really hope it doesn't mean they're getting desperate.

Anybody know when Pop Culture Jeopardy season two arrives on Netflix?

I watched it. The contestants had fun, it was breezy as it was only one round and FJ, and charity got some money. I'd enjoy more.
