Scrabble, Trivial Pursuit renewed; new host for Scrabble

Craig Ferguson has been tapped to host the second season of the CW's "Scrabble." Both it and "Trivial Pursuit" were renewed for 30 episodes each next season.

First-season Raven-Symone will stick around as one of the EPs of the "Scrabble" revival.

As for "Trivial Pursuit," LeVar Burton will remain as host.

No word any changes to the formats of the shows, but I would imagine "Scrabble" may be tinkered with given Ferguson's comedic and improv chops.

Beyond Raven, I am SO delighted to hear of Craig being the new host for Scrabble. Craig was a delight on Celebrity Name Game (which I wish had stuck around for more than the three years) as well as the one Price is Right he hosted, and I feel like he has the chops to turn what was a fairly dry adaptation into something fun.

I'm guessing Craig is being brought in to liven up the show to some degree. I'm curious as to what they will change. I thought Raven did a decemt job. I think Craig would have been perfect for Match Game as the host.
