While watching the most recent episodes of Pop Culture J! on Prime Video, I discovered that Prime Video has a few new UK and Australian game options to watch on the streamer. They include ...

-- The current incarnation of Aussie DOND
-- The first three seasons of ITV's "Limitless Win" with Ant & Dec
-- Episodes from the first three seasons of Britain's "Eggheads" from the 2000s, as well as early episodes of "Celebrity Eggheads."

Tapped into the first episode of LW, and even though I'm not a fan of shows with a plethora of suspenseful pauses:

1) The pauses for this particular UK show seem to be noticibly shorter than most of your average US shows.

2)  Dang, it's a fun show to watch, and very challenging as well. It would be nice to see a US version, but I'd be very afraid  of what they'd do to it in the states with choice of host(s), pacing and/or the overall Americanized format of the show.

Family Feud Classics on Roku has added some Dawson 94 episodes.  Caught a Carol Burnett/Betty White episode in late night tonight.

I wouldn't be surprised if those are the only episodes from that run in rotation on there.
Buzzr has run them multiple times for specials and they're being aired again for Winning Women this weekend.

I watched a couple episodes, and it got old for me pretty quick, but I did enjoy the concept well enough. And, I mean, Ant and Dec.

Make no mistake, the US would absolutely MUTILATE that show. And Bert Kreischer or whatever flavor of the month they got in there is no Ant and Dec.

Here in NYC, Relatively Speaking was regulated to 2:30 am, the same time slot given to Kennedy's TPIR a few years earlier.

I've been working through Relatively Speaking recently and found that episodes labeled 71-90 on FAST sites are markedly different in pacing and format than the previous episodes.  Their runtimes are 1-2 minutes shorter from the already <20 minute timing (likely because prize and promo plugs were excised), with two of them clocking in just over 17 minutes.  However, they have added an additional round to the show (4 guests instead of 3), eliminated the punny clues hinting at who the relative is, and the questioning moves at an absolute breakneck pace compared to the previous shows.  References to prizes for the non-celeb guests are gone altogether and there is no more reference to a "Super Stumper Jackpot."

Anyway, what would cause a show to make a shift like this so soon toward what would be the end of its run?

The latter episodes are a lot less fun because of that; the slower pace allowed everyone more time to shine. It was fun hearing the stories about growing up with the celebs, showing the family photos...by the end there were some episodes where the contestant left immediately after their connection was discovered. (It's also kinda silly to take the prize plugs out, especially when the transition is "Let's see what you won!" -fade to black, immediate fade in- "Thanks for playing!")

Anyway, what would cause a show to make a shift like this so soon toward what would be the end of its run?

My guess is that they knew they weren't gonna get a second season and couldn't find as many people for the final round as they'd liked, so they blasted through the remaining contestants as quickly as they could to ensure everyone at least got a chance to play.

The Hollywood Squares Channel has ended on PlutoTV.

FWIW, The Drew Barrymore Show Channel has ended as well.

Sounds like something going on through CBS Media Ventures.

Re RELATIVELY SPEAKING:  knowing how leveraged the company that produced and distributed the show was (the executive producer Mitch Gutkowski was also personally cutting most of the major market deals with stations) and how poor the first few weeks of ratings were relative to expectaions from advertisers, my educated guess is that his investors mandated budget cuts whereever possible, no matter how minor, just to try and stop the bleeding.  Taking away the potential of even modest prizes from later episodes probably cut a few thousand out of their minus column.

Relative to some other syndie efforts in that era, RS at least tried to look like a first-rate daytime show at the outset, even though way too many stations were running it pre-dawn.  Looking back on it now, had this been attempted a decade or so earlier, it might have had a shot.

Re FAST Channels:

The sudden stop and start of entire channels is a common practice among many providers as their advertising is almost never limited to a specific one.  Think of a channel as the equivalent of a program on a traditional schedule, only one that has a 24-hour time "slot".  The left pocket-right pocket "agreement" between platform and supplier for these efforts is often one that's highly flexible based on a total number of runs from a series of eligible shows; often the ability to avoid triggering another residual cycle on a somewhat more expensive show would be the impetus for a switch, let alone if the FAST channel was determined to be an underperformer relative to others where the same ads ran.

I'm not saying Pluto doesn't have issues, but I don't think they're as unique or sinister as one may think just because shows we like go away.

When Nickelodeon was integrated into the Pluto ecosphere, a Nick Games channel launched featuring mostly newer Games and Sports-type fare, but it only survived from November 2019 through summer 2020 when its content was sprinkled into other channels, like No Parents Allowed.
No Parents Allowed is still around and sometimes airs game shows, but channels in the Kids' Section now include Nickelodeon's '90s Kids and '90s Kids 2. The '90s Kids 2 channel, for the moment, airs game shows for most of the morning into the afternoon: Legends of the Hidden Temple at 9AM-ish ET, GUTS at 1PM-ish ET, and for the first time on FAST, Family Double Dare at 11AM-ish ET. The last two days have shown 10 episodes of Fox Family Double Dare previously available for purchase on iTunes and Amazon, but currently unavailable on Paramount Plus.

The block today started with the first-taped episode of 1992 Family Double Dare. Airing right now is the final 1988 episode, with the Chews vs. Wilfrids, which I don't believe has aired or been officially released since its first go-round.
EDIT: Afterward, the first 1988 FDD, the first 1990 FDD and 1990 episode 5, Kandy Kanes vs. Holders, streamed. All have been available in iTunes/Amazon packages.

Do the FAST channels have an ID number or do you just search by the name/content?
If you didn’t create it, it isn’t your content.

No numbers, but Pluto groups them by genre, so if you go to the Kids section, you should be able to find it pretty easily.
