I had no idea what PAX was until this thread so I researched it, finding http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:PAX_East_2012_Expo_Hall.jpg\'>this photo of the expo hall.

I was able to pick out one female (not including models/hostesses) in that crowd, Wow.

1) Yes, males outnumber females, but in a cursory glance, I spot like, 15.

2) From what I understand, PAX has a ban on \"Booth babes\" so there shouldn\'t be any models. If my understanding is correct, anyone dressed like that is cosplaying by their own free will.

It isn\'t really a marathon: Imagine if the contestants played abbreviated games of Big Showdown, Press Your Luck, Win Ben Stein\'s Money and Russian Roulette, scoring 25-10-0 for first, second, third place along the way, and finish it off with the Countdown Round to crown a winner.

I used to do that on YouTube. I do it live at bars now for money.

That photo can say whatever it wants, but unless something\'s changed in the last couple of years (\'cuz my last PAX was 2011; too hard to get tickets (although this year people seemed to be trying to throw passes at me left and right), too crowded, too expensive, too everything), I\'ve got five years of personal observation to go on. Pretty sure I know a girl when I see one.

The photo is also centered on a booth for a MOBA game (ie, League of Legends/DotA). That\'s not exactly a demographic known for its equality.
