If all you\'re reading into is the off-handed porn mention and not reading into the actual point I don\'t know what to tell you.
I suppose you can still learn stuff on TLC, though it would be more in the Goofus & Gallant sense, that is (don't do what these parents did)"- Travis Eberle, 2012

Then do share what the hell your actual point is, because you have long since lost the benefit of the doubt as to \"reading into\" anything.

As I see it, Chris P. and Jimmie Walker are bringing up the rear.

I thought we were done talking about porn.

I don\'t know what logistics there are in getting current episodes of The Price is Right on GSN, but given that it is even more recognizable than Family Feud, I wonder how it would fare on the network today and if GSN would rely on it heavily.

The logistics are remarkably simple, and are commonly known as \"paying a lot of money.\"

Well, that sounds like a personal problem there.

Read the response I made to Travis\' pshaw and you\'ll see.

It looks like your point amounts to \"just because people know a thing exists doesn\'t make it viable in the marketplace,\" which is a simplistic way to look at it. Not only is Family Feud a recognizable property, it is popular. People will sit there and watch, or at least stop tweaking the potentiometer for a minute. Maybe long enough to watch some ads. For whatever formula GSN is using to determine what goes in their programming holes, Family Feud comes out the winner, and Joker\'s Wild, Pass the Buck and Three\'s a Crowd (mercifully) don\'t.

If folks are asking \"what\'s your point?\" that\'s an invitation to expand on your position, and not to be sarcastic because we can\'t read your brain waves.

That\'s not what my point is, though. It\'s that saturation- which GSN\'s scheduling of Feud is getting close to being- is not a good thing no matter how recognizable the brand is. Eventually there will come a time to add a little variety to the lineup, whether that be with classics or more modern stuff.

Hey, I was operating under the (potentially misguided) assumption that you cared about people understanding your point, which near as I can tell few did. Maybe I\'m wrong and you\'re just happy enough reading your own words and thinking you\'re interacting with people. I dunno.

But just for chucks I went back and read the cited response, and I still don\'t get what the hell you\'re going on about. The takeaway I got was \"just because you *can* do something, doesn\'t mean you should\" which suggests to me that you think most channels don\'t air pr0n out of some kind of moral compass, which I assure you is at best naive and at worst utterly ignorant of how the broadcast industry works; as JJman said, if they *could* do it without running afoul of federal laws, they would.

If I\'m wrong, you\'re welcome to correct me, or not; I promise you I will get along just fine either way. But, \"personal problem?\" Yeah, you\'re right, it\'s almost certainly a \"personal problem...\"

Right. It would just be a matter of whether \"when\" comes sooner or later. Me, I think it would come sooner. Your mileage might vary.

just because you can air something

Since when can low-tier cable networks air porn?

But to reply to your point, if it ain\'t broken from a programming point of view, don\'t fix it. Random subscribers will be more likely to recognize  Family Feud as they flip through their cable guides than other shows GSN has the rights to air, so it\'s reasonable to milk the hell out of it.
