How did the Classic Concentration Audience game work, what were the dollar amounts, and how long did the member play?

Allow me to explain.

Simply, a contestant was chosen from the auidence to come down to "The Winners Circle" with Alex to play a game simular to the Car Round.

Though not for a new car beacause to quote Alex: "Because you have to solve the puzzle in order to qualify for the car"

Instead, a player had 60 seconds to try to match 7 cash amounts. The amounts were: $5, $10, $15, $20, $25, $50, $75 & $100. If you matched 7 amounts in the alotted time, your total was bumped up to $500. If not, any cash you matched was yours to keep.

I know (and have !) a early 1987 ep has the audience game played. I'm not sure if any other eps exist with the game played. That person amassed a entire $185 in that particular ep.

Which explains why (s)he was in the audience, not behind the contestant podium.

I never even heard of this audience game until looking at someone's Classic Concentration site a few weeks ago. Must have been played only a handful of times at most. Those were the days(even if it wasn't THAT many years ago) when game shows had extra time at the end to do something like that.

There's a picture of that $185 win, and here's the page that has it:

(Note: If the page doesn't work, wait a few hours)
