WI drops lottery game show
« on: December 09, 2003, 09:23:24 PM »
Wisconsin's lottery will end its Super Money Game TV show at the end of the year when the contract runs out. Also being dropped are the daily drawings; they will still be held, just not televised. The game show had been shifted to lousy time spots on the stations that carried it

The official comment is that the $350,000 (not including prizes) spent on the shows and drawings will be spent to increase sales of "other lottery products."

The WI game was always lame; its first version was a WOF look-alike in which contestants chose letters from the board (it spelled out WISCONSIN LOTTERY MONEY GAME") and won whatever money was behind the letter. After four rounds, the winner spun the big wheel for either $20K or $50K

In the newer version, about a year old, a hostess picked players from two 15-member teams who played a variety of mini games (none of the quality of Illinois Instant Riches) to win money for their teams. It then ended with a player at random spinning the big wheel.

Lame, lame, lame.
This isn't a plug, but you can ask me about my book.
