Why are they always going to Vegas every few weeks? They don't travel to anywhere else anymore do they?
Las Vegas is just getting old on the show.

They taped all the Vegas shows together, they just spread the airings out over the course of the season.  They're going to be taping in New Orleans sometime in the next couple of months for airing next season.

Yeah, I think they taped 6 weeks of shows during the summer (which is the most they've ever taped at a remote location at once- usually it's 2 or 3)..

That sounds about right.  I'd be interested to know if it was shot one week straight or over the course of a couple weekends back-to-back.

As to "Why Vegas?" in general, it's relatively close to LA which minimizes travel costs, it's an iconic location, has stages big enough to shoot a game show, and there's enough people in Vegas that getting a demand for viewers and contestants would be a non-challenge.

Because presumably the production company gets some amount of money from those Wheel of Fortune slot machines in the casinos. And the casino hosting them probably pays the travel costs, if not a little extra.

I once stayed at the Luxor for a work function. The WOF bonus round timer sound effect, triggered over and over, echoing through the insides of a pyramid, isn't conducive to sleep.

They end up closing the casino while they are filming the shows. You can see the empty tables and slots behind the set.

They should leave the puzzle board and the bimbo behind next trip cause they have that video screen that could be used in place. There are proably a lot of foreign versions of wheel in which the letters are revealed by themselves with no one touching them.

Wow.
I was thinking the same thing.  It's Ludacris to think of having Wheel without the puzzle board.

He probably won't mind the jab at the puzzleboard, but when you call Vanna a "bimbo", that's when the gloves come off, the guantlet is thrown down and you'd better call an ambulance, cause it's gonna get ugly! :)

My "wow" was directed at his comment of calling Vanna a bimbo...something she doesn't come close to fitting the definition of.

Name one. I'll watch the clock.
