Those numbers can't be good.

Actually, it seems to be doing about the same as what Guiding Light was doing before it was cancelled. And with a MUCH lower budget, CBS should be fairly happy with it, so far at least.

I've noticed in Norfolk, the show has picked up some steam, and is giving General Hospital and Dr. Oz a run for their money. If I can find some averages, I'll post them.

Especially in New York.  I'm surprised considering the competition (Rachael Ray, Wendy Williams, the fourth hour of "Today" with Hoda and Kathie Lee) and the lead-in from "The Doctors" at 9AM.

I have found the ratings from last Wednesday-Friday, and Monday-Thursday of this week. This is Norfolk/Newport News/Virginia Beach, DMA #43.

October 7:
2.7 rating/7 share

October 8:
1.3/4

October 9:
3.6/9

THREE-DAY AVERAGE: 2.5 rating/7 share

For this week:

October 12:
2.5 rating/5 share

October 13:
3.0/7

October 14:
3.6/9

October 15:
3.0/7

FOUR-DAY AVERAGE: 3.0 rating/7 share[/u]

One other thing, Thursday, the show was pre-empted for some lil snot-nosed punk who decided to steal an oversized Jiffy Pop container while he played Hide-N-Seek in the attic. So take the first three days of this week, and you still have a 3.0 rating/7 share. And now I remember why I never took stats or accounting in college. :-)

Actually I hold it to be very optimistic. Perhaps its my simpleton mathematics, but I see good hope.

Given my vague understanding of the ratings system. My calcs have come up with that approx. 9 million watched the LMAD premiere nationwide. Now I know I'm more than likely totally and completely wrong, but I wouldn't mind seeing an actual breakdown of the total national numbers.

More ratings info for the first week. This time, it's the overall national ratings (like TPiR, LMAD is rated separately for each half hour):

LMAD #1
HH: 1.5
W18-49: 0.6

MAD #2
HH: 1.6
W18-49: 0.7

I'd actually like to know if it fares better in the earlier time slot or the later time slot. Anybody have a way of figuring that out?
Cheers,

At least LMaD is doing pretty good in my neck of the woods with the 10 AM slot.  And being that the numbers were slightly above the national numbers leads me to think this show's a much better fit financially than GL anyways.

The week's average is now 3.2/7, and the average remains the same even without Balloon Boy coverage on Thursday.
