Sitcoms Online is reporting that the two remaining first-run eps on Jan. 11 and 25 and a repeat on Jan. 18 have been taken off the schedule with no indication of a rescheduling (scroll down):

http://www.sitcomsonline.com/blog/2009/01/...-cbs-pulls.html

CBS' two-week grid confirms that "60 Minutes" will air Sunday after the San Diego-Pittsburgh game and that "The Mentalist" will air on Jan. 18 after the AFC championship, which has been moved into most of prime time:

Despite decent total households, Sitcoms Online feels that the weak 18-49 demo numbers were what did it in.  Drat.

Uh-oh.

Wasn't someone else on the forum going to participate in an upcoming episode?

Our Sodboy, yes.

Bet he's not happy.

wtf. Seriously. The program has been gaining in ratings every week, nearly creating an all-time season high Sunday. But, heaven forbid... if the 18-49s aren't high enough, the show is obviously a flop. I hope there's some sort of mistake or quick re-scheduling going on.

Michael, I hope things get better, for your potential earning sake.

No, I think CBS finally realized that nobody on MDP was found murdered with a mouthful of bodily fluid and hands and feet bound with extension cords.

In an ironic twist given the show, words fail me.

[/quote]Except, that's not really the case. The general audience has increased every week (10.4 million viewers for Ferguson/Williams), but since apparently "old" people don't buy products, the show was #4 in its timeslot for 18-49 and that's sadly what counts.

And , I'm willing to bet (sorry Sodboy) that, like the first batch of 6 eps, the last 2 are not great eps...either in celebrity status or game playing status....which means CBS is just simply cutting bait.

Sorry, I've said it before and I'll say it again : this is not a show that warrants this kind of format. It's flawed....was flawed from the get - go. The lack of celebrities who know how to play this game simply doesn't help matters.

Move it to syndication - play for $100K, keep the same celebs for the week , and (FOR PETE SAKE) test celebrities just as hard as you test the contestants ability to play the game.

That is a shame; it was doing pretty good in the overall ratings.

Wait, what? Regis had nothing to do with the ratings. And getting Wayne Cox would do nothing but get a "Who?" out of your audience.

I prefer to think more highly of Sodboy: Sodboy won the million dollars, but as with The Rich List, the network doesn't want to pay out the winnings.

(Seriously, with any luck, the shows will get aired eventually, regardless of the outcome.)

Hell, it gets a "Who?" out of me.  The name looks familiar, but I cannot, for the life of me, figure out who that is.
