If somone Asks the Mob eliminating 1 answer and then trusts the Mob and the most popular answer is the one eliminated does the contestant get locked into the answer that was eliminated

In this case, the second most popular answer is locked in as the contestant's answer, I think.

As I understand it is the most popular answer from the mob period, the point is it could be wrong.

I could not understand why the guy used trust the mob on Friday sine he know only 3 of 70something said C by using the trust the mob he could have got stuck with one he knew was the wrong answer
