If nothing but $1M cases are left, does the offer come out to what the average is as some sort of percentage?  I think that's how it might play out.  That's where it gets very anti-climatic at that point because surely the player holding his/her case would go all the way.

Knowing NBC, if the remaining cases are all $1 Million, then they'll probably offer $1 Million + 2 Hummers. Thank goodness Channel 4 & Endemol are more sensible with the game board here.

But what's nice about that is NBC will have already spoiled us, and *I* won't have to turn in.

No, that line refers to an article the San Francisco Chronicle (I think) did about Cramer when that crapfest on MSNBC was starting to get popular and people were marveling at what a great prognosticator he was, that tracked a bunch of his recent picks at the time and discovered that he was batting right around .500. In other words, he's no more of a financial genius than a coin toss is. He's just good at being loud and idiotic about it, and good at appealing to the braindead twentysomething audience that eats up garbage like that.

Still, one would assume (yeah, not safe to assume) that NBC/End-Em-All has some kind of plan if that happens.  Maybe whip out the big cases for the "double or nothing" deal?

I would not make that assumption at all. AT ALL. It's clear they don't think these promotions through in the first place, why would you assume they're taking precautions for small-probability events like that?

Based on recent reports about the current crop of games, the most likely scenario is that they stop tape for four hours, finally deciding to just start the game over entirely.

It doesn't seem to be that hard to figure out how to play the situation.

"There are three $1,000,000 cases left, and one $750 case. You chose case number 1. If Claudia opens that case and we see $750, then we know that you will be our first million-dollar winner. If one of the million dollars is in the case, then the next bank offer will go down."

And so on for two minutes until they actually get around to opening the case. Just stop playing the game once there are nothing but $1,000,000 cases left on the board.
