OK, so I haven't been paying close attention, but I have watched HS twice this week.

Have they done away with returning champions?

Did they go to a two-out-of-three format?

 This week is a special week featuring teachers as the contestants.  The new best-of-three format starts next week.

 Squares will still have returning champions, save for special weeks like the Teacher's week airing this week.
