I blame "Bumper Stumpers," personally.

And I weep for the future of our country. Though maybe computer companies might stretch their profit margins, since they no longer will need to worry about producing Shift keys, or having any sort of case-sensitivity. Booboo here isn't a clueless yutz, he is in fact on the cusp of a revolution.

Then DO something about it. Use capital letters at the beginning of your sentences, and to identify proper nouns...like "Matt". If you're smart enough to coin words like "any1" then you're smart enough to do that.

I have much more patience with people who can't follow simple grammatical rules than with people who obviously can but choose not to. Sorry to come across like your old English teacher, but for heaven's sake, write so the rest of us can READ it.

How lazy can you get? I mean, 2 b for "to be"? What's two extra keys? I'm with Matt on this one. I can handle someone with typos much better than someone who chooses to half-ass on a keyboard. I swear, instant messaging is going to really mess up the English language.

This has sadly already broken the language barrier.
Before I ultimately just got used to it, I had to put up with this business with Spanish speakers. Now people are typing "k" instead of "que" and eliminate accents altogether, just to name a couple insanity provokers.
The whole world's just gettin' lazy.
