The Challenge of Champions blazers
« on: September 15, 2025, 03:00:53 AM »
When I was in New York last month, I took my friend (who lives in upper Manhattan) to the Paley Center to introduce her to Concentration. As we were watching the 1972 CoC episode, I mentioned offhand that the champions got to keep their custom blazers as souvenirs and she said, completely seriously, "I must find you one."

Not that I expect her to be successful, but do we happen to know the whereabouts of any of those? I'd imagine some still exist as family heirlooms, but does the Strong Museum have one, for instance?

Over the years, I always thought that I might get lucky and just find the patch that they sewed onto the jackets.  While I never found a Concentration one, I do have one from some version or another of Beat the Clock.
This has been another installment of Matt Ottinger's Masters of the Obvious.
