The merry-makers at Pacific Pioneer Broadcasters regularly honor those with long and distinguished careers both behind and in front of the camera/microphone in a never-ending series of star-studded luncheons that have been going on for decades. They are very fun roasts, and Wink Martindale is the honoree today (Friday). Wink told me last night that over 500 are expected to attend to enjoy the hi-jinx as his radio and TV careers are celebrated by dais full of KMPC cronies, recording artists and game show luminaries. Pat Boone, Bob Eubanks, Gary Owens, producer and game show prize maven Art Alisi as well as Merrill Heatter are among the speakers.
