WTXF, Philadelphia's Fox O&O affiliate, is debuting a local game show to be aired weekdays beginning Monday, Oct. 1, Noon. 125 episodes have been ordered.
WTXF has, for two years now, aired a half-hour talk show ("The Q") hosted by local personality that also had a national test run in summer 2017. The Q had been airing in the Noon slot but will be pushed to 12:30pm as a result.

With local affiliates putting more emphasis on in-house programming (esp. talk shows or "community calendar" type stuff), I wonder if this could lead to more locally-produced game shows, esp. if networks give any more daytime slots back to affiliates. For example, I can't imagine Good Aftermorning America being a long-term thing for ABC.

This aired earlier today. I haven't watched it yet, so can't comment.

I did.
It's definitely high on novelty value, and while there's nothing terribly original about the rounds they use, the fact that it's in this format is original. My two main gripes are that 1) Round 1 has as many if not more points up for grabs than rounds 2-4 combined, so that's a little awkward and 2) I don't need host commentary during a timed round.
I don't think I'd seek it out as a thirtysomething in a different city in 2018, but junior- and senior-high me would definitely want to be on if it were my school appearing.
