They had a season 3 contestant call very recently, so I'm pretty sure it is.
Not sure, but I think they aired what would've been the summer '18 episodes earlier this year, due to the abrupt cancellation of an ABC show.

Match Game seems to be a winter show now instead of a summer one.

About a week and half ago, I received an email that MG was currently "casting for Season 4", but nothing was said about when the show would return.

That's quite possible. They taped 15 MGs in October and they've only aired about half of them.

I know the “Family Hour” isn’t really a thing anymore, but Gong at 8 seems so odd to me. I know it makes more sense to have the new police drama at 10, but I think I would’ve aired that on another night, do Gong at 9, Match Game at 10.
But I’m not in programming, now am I? :P

I tried out last season, did a phone interview then a Skype one but wasn't picked. Tried this year, did the phone interview and they said they had my Skype interview from last year and "it should be enough". I kinda read through the lines.
One day I'll get on somewhere...

I was at the 9 am taping today (6/6) of MG. I did not have to sign any waivers, but I won't spoil anything other than the celebs, who were:
Chris Parnell, Whitney Cummings, Kevin Smith, Jane Krakowski, Ron Funches, and . . . . Caitlyn Jenner.
She's tall, even taller than Alec Baldwin, in high heels anyway. Alec brought out two of his kids during a break, including the new three-week old.
Fun games and all, but beware. If you go, use the bathroom before going up to the studio, because once in the studio, the bathrooms are off limits till you leave the building.

The morning taping for Friday, June 8
Celebs are Jason Alexander, Niecy Nash, Michael Che, Constance Zimmer, Judah Friedlander, Erika Christenson.
Several recreation of rounds because while bantering with the celebs, Alec blurted out possible answers. The control room said. "We had a technical glitch, we forgot to press record." Got a laugh.
One new thing they have is a "monitor match" where a picture is shown while Alec is reading a question. It's not on every show.
This was the last day of taping. A total of 18 eps were produced.
