I don't get it. If the expectation is that viewers will tune in because of name recognition or fond memories of previous versions, that's not going to work - nobody born in the 21st century is aware of a game show called Beat The Clock.
On the other hand, if they're expecting people to watch because of the incredible gameplay and hilarious stunts, that doesn't seem to me like it will work either - "contestants do silly stunts against the clock" could be half the kids game shows ever made.
Good luck? The linked article claims taping will be in September, but I wouldn't be surprised if it were just a pilot or test run.

I read something that this is likely for the new Universal Kids network launching in September (taking over the Sprout network)- they're doing a ton of new stuff for it, including a junior version of Top Chef...

I would think that this was less about nostalgia, and more about licensing a title with a succinct, command-like name, like "Name That Tune." Everything you need to know is right in the title, and that makes it even more desirable when they are targeting family viewing.

I've read that too, but am taking it with a grain of salt until more information comes in.
I should also note that Marc Summers just posted on his Instagram page a casting notice he somehow found for this show, saying they are looking for a "Marc Summers type" as the host.

Just for fun, I sent the ad to Gary Kroeger (who hosted the 2002 Pax version) via IM. I got a thumbs up, but I doubt he's interested at this point; he's got other stuff going on.

Beat me to posting this. The host of The Noise is apparently Faruq Tauheed (the in-ring announcer on the ABC version of Battlebots).
I wish them luck, but it doesn't seem likely to me that Universal Kids will fare any better then The Hub did.

It will air Monday-Thursday in that time slot. Not sure why it's premiering on a Tuesday.

I found the show enjoyable enough and the format is pretty straightforward.
Round one: Each team plays a stunt worth $100.
Round two: Each team plays a stunt worth $150.
Round three: The team plays the same stunt simultaneously. The winning team wins $300 and the game. The losing team keeps their money.
Bonus Bonanza: The team has 60 seconds to complete a four-part challenge. The premiere episode was throwing fish into four different containers around the set from center stage. Each completed part is worth $250. Completion of all four parts doubles the money to a $2,000 bonus, plus $1,000 to “an amazing charity for kids.”
There’s a giant digital-analog clock center stage and the host isn’t a “Heyyyyyyy, kids!!!” type, so enough boxes were checked for me.

So, round two was worth $200 at first, and then someone said “no tiebreakers” and decided to make the first half of the show irrelevant.

Honestly I looked past the math and saw "six stunts" and thought "that's about as much content as the version from 1979." I'd rather that head-to-head stunt done where every $50 worth of lead was equivalent to some amount of head-start but their core audience was minus twenty years old when American Gladiators went off the air.

Did I like Body Language when I was 10 years old? TBH, I tended to tune in halfway through the show.

Body Language does have a couple of things to recommend even if the scoring is dumb. I don't think that kids who tune in for Beat the Clock are going to wonder why every question goes to a physical challenge but we never hear the questions.

I see this version of BTC repeats stunts. On Thursday's show, they had two stunts that were on Wednesday's show.
