Title: How's your fall schedule stacking up?
Post by: BrandonFG on August 13, 2007, 04:40:12 PM
In Norfolk, viewers get at least a good four-hour block of games.......I'm loving what I see...if I were a kid, I'd never go outside the house with this kind of schedule. I like WTVZ's option to air Temptation and Feud back-to-back. And with the former at noon, I have some motivation to go to the gym. :-P

ETA: could a mod replace "syndie" with "fall" in the title, please and thanks?

Harrisburg/Lancaster/Lebanon/York Market:

10am: double-run of Millionaire on WHP (this I don't know for a fact, but I don't see them moving it anywhere else, and most of us in the market get WPVI from Philly, which will probably run a single of Millionaire at 12:30pm)
11am: "TNPiR" on WHP
12pm: double-run of Temptation on WPMT
1pm: double-run of Crosswords on WPMT
2pm: double-run of Feud on WPMT (I feel a few sick days coming up)
7-8pm: Wheel and J! on WHP, in that order, the way it's been for 21 years

I couldn't have been happier with the way clearances turned out in our market...I was afraid that a lot of the shows might end up on our CW affiliate, WLYH, which has a terrible signal OTA or on cable. (Even their digital/HD feed on the upper channels of our Comcast lineup is dreadful.)

The Price is Right at 11:00 am on WNEM 5.
Family Feud at 12:00 pm on WEYI 25.
Millionaire at 12:30 pm on WJRT 12.
Temptation will be at 1:00 pm on WNEM-DT2 (My 5). EDIT: A repeat episode airs at 2:05 am on WNEM 5.
Crosswords at 1:30 pm on WNEM-DT2 (My 5)
Jeopardy! at 7:00 on WNEM 5.
Wheel of Fortune at 7:30 on WNEM 5.

Unfortunately, the digital station carrying Tempation and is not received by me on DirecTV. Also, as far as I know, no station in the Flint/Saginaw/Bay City market has been announced as carrying Crosswords. As newly indicated above, Crosswords will follow Temptation, airing at 1:30 pm. No apparent WNEM encore, however.

I don't see it going anywhere either......While I'm curious to see what will take the 9am-10am slot (now occupied by Keith Ablow, whose talk show did not get renewed), I doubt WWTBAM will move to that hour slot. 4pm is Ellen, who is probably not going anywhere, as well as the 5pm-6:30pm local news block.

Count me as one who doesn't get WPVI...Being in basically the same system as the city from where the networks are, I have one of each affiliate with the exception of MY - we have WPHL from Philly and "My TwentyOne.2" which is a digital subchannel of WHP-TV that they have on the digital cable.

I know that Price, Millionaire, Wheel, and Jeopardy! are gonna keep their slots in NYC (11 AM on WCBS, 12:30 PM on WABC, 6:30 and 7:30 on WLNY and WABC, 6 and 7 on the same channels).

Didn't somebody say Crosswords was being slotted at 4 PM on WNBC? Would make sense, considering Ellen is moving opposite DCPIR.

I don't know about Feud...would assume it stays on WWOR in the 3 PM slot in the double run.

Temptation is also gonna be on Channel 9, don't know where yet (so the channel can claim, if it wanted to, that it aired two syndicated versions of Sale of the Century...WOR had the original show before it moved over to WABC in mid-afternoons with Jeopardy!).

Can anybody confirm the fate of Crosswords, Feud, and Temptation in NYC?

Chad, if you had a local antenna you could get WDIV TV 4 Detroit and/or WILX TV 10 Lansing ,both NBC affiliates which will air Crosswords this fall. It's a shame that neither Dish nor Direct TV will let you have all receivable stations in your community, including nearby markets, like with a regular antenna. Dish and Direct will only let you havr the market you are in Flint-Saginaw-Bay City, not Detroit and or Lansing.

It's not Dish or DirecTV that won't let him have any station he can get by antenna, it's this little thing called "the law."  There are very strict rules on bringing in stations from outside the market.

Although, if he was going to pay appox. $10, you can get the "Superstations" from NYC, Denver, LA, and few more channels.

Not the same situation, or the same rule -- otherwise I'd like to see the "regular antenna" that would let Chad pull in, say, KTLA from the Flint-Saginaw-Bay City market.  (I know at least a few of us who'd be ordering one right about now. :-)

But yeah, picking up WWOR would get Chad Temptation, at least -- and if that's all he wants he can even pick that up alone, without buying the whole superstations package.  Of course, that assumes that WNEM doesn't invoke syndex, as some MNTV affiliates have done to block WWOR from their markets (and some CW affiliates do with KTLA, WPIX and KWGN).

Unless something's changed, here's what the schedule looks like:

Millionaire, 4:00pm, CBS 58
Family Feud, 4:30pm, CBS 58
Jeopardy!, 6:00pm, CBS 58
Wheel of Fortune, 6:30pm, CBS 58
Crosswords, 8:30pm, WMLW 41 (owned by... you guessed it, CBS 58)
Temptation is unknown at this point, but, IIRC, it's airing on the MyNetwork affil.

Crosswords in primetime should be interesting...

Big news in game show scheduling here in Atlanta, where Wheel and Jeopardy move from Gannett-owned WXIA (NBC aff) to Gannett-owned WATL (MyNet).

For the last four years, J! aired at 4:30p, with Wheel at 7:30p (WXIA airs local news at 7p).  Recent ratings showed Wheel neck-and-neck with ET on WSB (ABC) at 7:30p, but Jeopardy running third behind Oprah on WSB and Divorce Court on the Fox affiliate.

Wheel and J! will now run from 7-8p on WATL, bumping Simpsons reruns to 11p-midnight.  WXIA will air The Insider at 7:30p (currently airs overnight on WSB).

Millionaire, which currently airs at 4p (current season) and 12:30p (previous season) on WXIA, will move to a one-hour block at 4p on WXIA this fall.  Not sure which episode will be the current season.

WXIA plans on airing Merv Griffin's Crosswords at 12:30p.

AFAIK, Family Feud will continue airing a double-run from 1-2p on WATL.

No word yet on Temptation.

Wheel and J! leaving 11?  Wouldn't have seen that coming.  Generally stations that own *any* of the top shows in syndication (Wheel, J!, Oprah, et al) bust their asses to keep them once they have them.

It's looking sad for the new shows (Temptation and Crosswords) in my area.  I've contacted all five of the broadcast stations in my area and three have told me that they will not be airing either show.  The other two affiliates don't seem like likely candidates to be carrying the shows either, but there's always hope.

Oh, well, that's what torrents and trading are for.

For Cleveland...

WEWS:  Wheel at 7 PM, Jeopardy! at 7:30 PM; the way it's been for 23 years.
WOIO:  Family Feud at 9 AM, Temptation at 9:30 AM, Family Feud at 10 AM, Merv Griffin's Crosswords at 10:30 AM, Millionaire at 7 PM

Gannett has been quite bullish in recent years in having a local newscast on its stations at 7p ET, regardless of ratings (Gannett's WUSA in Washington, DC launched a 7p newscast around the same time WXIA did -- after a string of failures in that slot including Gray WL and O'Hurley TTTT.  WUSA regularly finished fifth or sixth in the 7p ratings before the newscast premiered).

IIRC, Gannett purchased WATL from Tribune last year, giving Gannett a duopoly in Atlanta.

WOF at 7:30 on WPXI

I know Feud and Millionaire run...I just don't know when

I haven't a CLUE about the Temptation or Crosswords.

It's for Dish Network people only, and you have to live in an area that doesn't offer CW/My on Dish.  Bay City is one of those, so you would get the stations, but is it really worth $70 a year to see Crosswords?

DirecTV generally will only do imports out-of-market CW stations, giving you WUNV-Baltimore if you're in the east or KSWB-San Diego if you're in the west.  They generally do not import MyNetwork stations for those markets so impoverished (or strengthened, depending on your beliefs).

Actually, it's my understanding that the CW and My affils have to request protection from Dish with regard to superstations -- otherwise you can subscribe if they don't care.  Many probably do request it now by default, but I know several people who get WWOR and WPIX for baseball even though Dish carries their local My and CW affils.  (And of course WSBK is an independent now, so it's not affected at all.)  The WNUV/KSWB thing on DirecTV (or the parallel WPIX/KTLA situation on Dish), where the out-of-market station is packaged as a "local," is the one that's only for CW-less markets.

You forget that we have people who are willing to pay eighty bazillion dollars in an eBay auction for a T-shirt on which someone scribbed "I LIEK PRES YUR LUK" with a magic marker. :-)  Not to say Chad is one of those by any means, of course.  And besides, there's other stuff on the superstations (though not as much nowadays, I'll grant).

DirecTV seems to try not to import out-of-market stations at all, except where they absolutely have to or where the demand is way too high to ignore (see: NYC stations in parts of the Hartford, CT market and vice versa).  I'm guessing that's due to the fact that TV station owners were involved then (Hubbard) and now (Fox).

That same station has done it before. Up until 1990 (I think) they had Wheel at 7:30 and J in late afternoon. They replaced Wheel with Quiz Kids Challenge, of all things, and W/J got paired 7-8 on WAGA 5. (As far as I could tell, this left Family Feud off the air entirely until it replaced Quiz Kids later on in the season)

I do too. I won't complain, come fall, when I get double-runs of each show, but I'm really skeptical to see how Temptation's double run will work with keeping episodes concurrent. WPMT can barely keep both runs of Feud concurrent as it is now.

And I'd be willing to be that OIO will enjoy higher ratings for the block than PMT, even though 19 has a non-existent lead-in at 9am. (Not that PMT's lead-in to noon is any better.)

In the ratings, WPMT barely registers in their afternoon block this season, with reruns of Roseanne, Feud...and I'm sure there's some court shows in there too.

Here in the Buffalo area I think Ive got this down:

11am - TPIR (WIVB/CBS)
12pm - FF (CW23)
1pm - Millionaire (CW23)
7-8pm- Wheel/J! (WKBW/ABC)

UNKNOWN TIMES (that I know of)
Lets Play Crosswords: Buffalo (WGRZ/NBC)
Temptation (My Network TV Buffalo)?? *Just a good guess*

*Edit: The Times for these are
Crosswords 2-3pm (WGRZ/NBC)
Temptation 1230pm-1pm & 630pm-700pm (WNLO/CW)

In Chicago, "J!" and "Wheel" are staying where they are on WLS (3:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.).  "WWTBAM" is probably staying where it is double run at 11 a.m. on WGN.

WMAQ is carrying "Crosswords"--I believe at 4 p.m.

WPWR is carrying "Temptation," but no indication what time yet.

I'll chime in for the SoFL area...

10:00AM (7-WSVN): "Family Feud" (back-to-back episodes)

11:00AM (7-WSVN): "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" (back-to-back episodes)
              (4-WFOR): "The Price Is Right"

4:00PM (6-WTVJ): "Merv Griffin's Crosswords" (No double run here, sorry)

7:00PM: (10-WPLG): "Wheel Of Fortune"

7:30PM: (10-WPLG): "Jeopardy!"

No word about "Temptation" airing in the country's 16th largest market. Here's to hoping that'll change soon.

In the lovely Quad-Cities of Iowa and Illinois ...

"Temptation" double runs at 4 and 4:30 on WBQD, MyNet.
"Merv's Crosswords" double runs at 5 and 5:30 p.m. on WBQD.
"Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" changes from a split (10:30 a/2:30 p) to a double run at 11 and 11:30 a.m. on KWQC, NBC.
"Family Feud" moves from 11 a.m. to a double run at 3 and 3:30 p.m. on WHBF, CBS. (Marking the first time in at least a decade there hasn't been a game show at 11 on CBS4 ... "Entertainment Tonight" reruns instead.)
"Jeopardy!" stays at 4 p.m. and "Wheel of Fortune" at 6:30 p.m. on KWQC.

The big news from Austin is that Jeopardy is moving and getting a back-to-back double run, at 4:00 (repeat) and 4:30 (new,) followed by news (moved from 4:00.) KXAN is desperate to boost their news ratings, but the last time they tried this, J! got trounced by Oprah and they went from 2nd to 4th at 5:00. I'm curious to see how long it lasts.

Otherwise, I haven't heard about any other moves. Wheel stays at 6:30 on KXAN, Millionaire at noon on KEYE, Feud at 3:05 AM on KXAN. I haven't seen any sign of either Temptation or Crosswords yet.

For the Flint-Bay City-Saginaw area, Temptation is on at 2am on WNEM. Crosswords runs at 1:30pm on WNEM'sDT2 channel. Haven't seen Temptation's promo so I'm hoping WNEM is still showing it at 2am because I want to see it. So I'll have to get cable or an antenna so I don't miss that unless Dish Network is adding it.

I haven't been able to pin down timeslots, but here in DC:

Crosswords on WJLA (ABC-7) might be in the 12:30 pm slot (now held by J! reruns) between the news and the soaps. Mornings look locked with Regis - Martha - View.

Temptation on WDCA (MyNet-20) is probably going to be blocked with Feud. Right now, the double-run of FF is at 1-2 pm. (But it's been 10am, 3 pm, all over) But there's a lot of old reruns (Cops, MASH) in the afternoon schedule. They could hit the reset button and scramble everything again.

All I know about are the old stalwarts...

Wheel and J! from 7-8 (WSBT/CBS) and TPiR at 11 (WSBT/CBS)

I'd assume that Crosswords will be paired with Millionaire, since Crosswords was gobbled up by the Gray television group, and WNDU (NBC), which has Millionaire, is in that group.  The only trouble with that is slotting, as that channel currently holds Martha, Ellen, and Rachel Ray.

I'd be optimistic and say Temptation will get paired with Family Feud on WBND, the ABC affiliate.  I have no friggin clue, though.

Jeopardy!: M-F, 7:30-8 pm, WROC/CBS

Wheel of Fortune: M-F, 7-7:30 pm, WROC/CBS
Who Wants to Be a Millionaire: M-F, 12:30 pm, WHEC/NBC

No word about "Temptation" airing in the country's 16th largest market. Here's to hoping that'll change soon.

New York's only question marks are where the Feud and Temptation are going on My9. Feud currently airs double run on My9 at 3:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

"Crosswords" will be on 4 (WNBC) at 4:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., the suicide slot. Everything else in the market should is status quo: Price at 11:00 on 2, Millionaire at 12:30 on 7, and Jeopardy/Wheel combo beginning at 7 on 7.

The complete results for Rochester, NY...

Family Feud: M-F, 2:30-3 pm, WUHF/Fox
Jeopardy!: M-F, 7:30-8 pm, WROC/CBS
Merv Griffin's Crosswords: M-F, 10-11 am, WHAM/ABC (double run)
The Price Is Right: M-F, 11 am-12 noon, WROC/CBS
Temptation: WBGT/My, time still TBA
Wheel of Fortune: M-F, 7-7:30 pm, WROC/CBS
Who Wants to Be a Millionaire: M-F, 12:30 pm, WHEC/NBC

So, unless WBGT doesn't pick up Temptation after all, I can watch everything locally and save the Slingbox for when shows are pre-empted. :-)

Wow, it looks like I live in the only area in the country that will not be picking up "Crosswords" or "Temptation". I still can't find any Central Iowan stations on the lists of places that will air them.

As for the rest (If no sudden changes):

KCCI (CBS): The Price is Right (10:00 AM)

WHO (NBC): Millionaire (4:00 PM)/Jeopardy! (4:30 PM)/Wheel of Fortune (6:30 PM)

OUCH!! I've heard theories that some syndicators give deals on shows cleared in the middle of the night mainly for the sake of the additional coverage for national advertisers. Would Debmar-Mercury be in this boat?

As for here in Albany, everything is shaken up: WTEN has Crosswords taking over Jeopardy's double run at 12:30 PM with Wheel/Jeopardy keeping up the 7:00 hour, but Millionaire and Feud are being relocated on WNYT (they currently air 10:00-11:00) and Temptation is currently unknown.

Up here in Canada, if you're on Bell ExpressVu, you'll experience the following wonders:

Wheel and J! are on various stations across Canada.  You can watch it in six different time zones if you're so inclined.

TPIR is on both the Boston and Seattle CBS affiliates and will be moving off CH (as it's turning into E! - but not EH!) to Sun TV in Toronto.

Family Feud is on WHDH and CLT.

Meredith will continue to give away money on ASN, A Channel, and various City affiliates in the west.

Through the powers invested in Program Partners and the NAFTA agreement, we get Crosswords on Access Alberta, Omni 2 and CLT.  Those south of the border get syndie reruns of Degrassi: The Next Generation.

And to my happy delight, Seattle's Fox affiliate has picked up Temptation.  Now, if they'd only allow Canucks on the show...

Smiling politely,

Ryan.

Beautiful...:)  Methinks that KHAS might be the only station showing Crosswords; if they picked it up, then that most likely means no other station in Lincoln picked it up, and things don't sound good for Omaha, either, so you and I might be SOL on that account...:(

Here's to hoping I'm wrong, and thanks for the great news!

Of course, here in Chicago, Feud gets a different variety of death slot: a double-run at 10am, right up against Price.  Because it's crucial to have some pseudo-court show starring Kato Kaelin on at 9.

I haven't seen one for either show.  I'm waiting until August 27 when zap2it.com and tvguide.com will have September 10 in range of their 2 week advance schedules and can go digging through markets of interest on my own.

Who among us remembers going to the library and looking at "Broadcasting & Cable" for the syndicated show ads with all the affiliates listed on them?  Sigh.  I've got some old issues around here somewhere with those ads.  Is that even available nowadays at "finer newsstands"?  Only place I ever bought it was "The News Room" on Pennsylvania Ave. in DC.

We have one store here, World Wide News, that occasionally carries B&C.  Beyond that, I've found it reliably at a newsstand in the lower level of Rockefeller Center in NYC and both newsstands in Harvard Square during trips to Boston.  I subscribed for a while because they have a student subscription rate that's considerably lower than even the normal discounts, but it's gotten thinner over the years so I couldn't justify it even for the student price -- and now that I'm a few weeks away from losing my student status, I wouldn't qualify any longer anyway.

Pretty much all of B&C -- and its competitor TV Week (which was, IMO, better when it was Electronic Media) -- is available online now for free, but you don't get the ads that way. :-(

Interesting now that you mention it. The only time I ever see B&C is when they deliver copies to our newsroom. FWIW, last spring, when "Crosswords" was still going by its first title, they printed up the then-current affiliate list.

I do, I do!! Used to love doing that...That was my source for all things TV-related (TV Guide notwithstanding) before the internet...

Did you flip to Friday when each new issue arrived to look for the [Last show of the series.] on game shows?  I'll pick up a Fall Preview TV Guide next month for novelty's sake (this will make 40 years of consecutive Fall Previews in my collection), but it won't replace the joy of heading to the store on a Monday to buy the Fall Preview, admiring the artwork on the cover (back when they had it), and then sitting down to see how syndication had affected your local and adjacent markets.  And the ads for new shows with station logos on them... and the staples in the middle... sigh.

The good ol' days of youth.

I've gotten rid of most of my tv guide collection, but i won't part with the Fall Previews. I too stopped with the relaunch a few years ago.

I used to see ads on my local stations well in advance of the premieres stating "new this fall", and they'd show clips of the shows.  In the '70s and '80s I always seemed to know which game shows we'd be getting.  Stations don't seem to do that for syndicated shows much anymore.

I'll get it too - the only Fall Previews I'm missing are '53 and '54.  Been outbid a few times on e-bay for them...but I'm sure I'll get them eventually!

While I loved the Fall Previews from the '70s and '80s (as they were pretty detailed when it came to new games), sometimes shows would be in syndication that wouldn't be listed in TVGuide.  I can think of both runs of Celebrity Sweepstakes as examples.  Niether was carried in my area and I never even knew about them until I got an out-of-town guide later that year.

Even the Fall Previews of the last few years of the digest-size edition were better than what they're putting out now...but it's fun to look back on the old issues!

I just happen to have my 1983 Fall Preview sitting right by the computer, and in looking at the Syndication section, in the paragraph which starts off "For those who like to play games", it mentions Love Connection,  The Pop 'n Rocker Game, and Star Search. No mention is made at all of Wheel, but then again in the fall of 1983 it started with a whimper, AFAIK. It wasn't until 1984 that it *really* started taking off. I remember it arriving on WNEP in Scranton amidst a lot of advertising around the time the Olympics started that summer, and in the fall, WHP in Harrisburg made it a part of its regular schedule. It's been their M-F 7pm show ever since (in Scranton, it moved on to WYOU a few years later and since 1992, WBRE has been the WoF/J! home).

There used to be a bunch of local display ads for stations in TVG pre-Murdoch due to a reciprocal agreement between the station and TVG where TVG would get spots on the station in exchange for display ads in the listings.  That is why you would see at least one ad per station in every issue, usually an ad for non-network programming and lots of game shows. After News Corp. took over around 89 or so, that practice ended.

Murdoch has put the mag on the selling block, so hopefully a new owner can make TVG useful again.

And don't forget the local newspapers who have dropped their weekly TV magazines.  If you're without PC, good luck on figuring out the schedule.  And a secondary gripe to papers who put the TV magazine in a non-standard day, like Wednesday!?  It's easier now to go to 7-Eleven and flip through the papers and see who has the magazine rather than finding the one bought off the rack with 2 pounds in quarters doesn't.

Omaha has the magazine on Sunday, but you can buy the paper in western Nebraska too and get the same Omaha listings... some use that is.  You don't see much of the tailored listings any more.  I recall when the Charlotte (NC) Observer had "Mountains" and "Piedmont" TV magazine editions for their readers in Asheville vs. say, Myrtle Beach SC.  It was almost *better* than TV Guide in the 80s (save for the local ads).

There are still some exceptions: Casper Star-Tribune in Wyoming lists stuff like Billings MT in it.  Those are fun, but it's so rare to get any out-of-market stuff even if the paper pushes for statewide coverage.  I guess it's not important to most readers anymore.

mcsittel, if you can find any of the magazines with those ads in them is there any way you can put them up on your website or anything like that? BTW up in my neck of the woods(Seattle-Tacoma) unles anything changes here's the fall schedule for syndicated game shows:
Millionaire: 7-8 PM on KONG 16
Family Feud: 11AM-12PM on MYQ2 KMYQ
Wheel and Jeopardy! back to back from 7-8 PM on KOMO 4 (it's been that way since at least 1986)
Temptation: either KCPQ or KMYQ
Crosswords: either KING 5 or KONG 16, no clue about the time slot though however someone e-mailed me from KING 5 a few months ago and said that it would be carried from 6-7 PM.

Evening's at 7:00, I think. Yeah, I just looked, that's right. "Inside Edition" is going to be the big loser here. (which means the big winner will be the home viewing audience.)

This is how it went down when KING carried H2, as well.

Also, Temptation is going to be on KCPQ...I just didn't feel like correcting the post of someone being so authoritative while at the same time being so painfully under/misinformed. (As in, KING is NOT going to bump their 6:00P news, genius.)

I've limited my site to logos from TV Guide.  Certainly there are/were other sources for logos, but the ones I feature come from my personal collection of 2,500+ TV Guides.  My site with edition information and logos: http://www.mcsittel.com/html/tv_guide.html (http://\"http://www.mcsittel.com/html/tv_guide.html\")

I didn't save many of those old newspaper listings.  But I do recall them well.  Since there aren't TV Guide editions to collect anymore, newspaper magazines are about all that's left.

You raise a good point.  Maybe TVGuide decided only to list those syndicated games which were going to be seen on the most stations.  The case I mentioned, Celebrity Sweepstakes, and even Wheel of Fortune, weren't that heavily carried back then.  Wheel wasn't even expected to be a hit - it caught everyone by surprise.

Still, in the '76 preview, Break the Bank wasn't listed, but looking at out-of-town issues for that period, that was carried in quite a number of cities.

10:00AM -- Temptation -- KKCO-DT2 (CW)

11:00AM -- Family Feud (First Run) -- KREX/Channel 5

11:30AM -- Crosswords -- KREX/Channel 5

4:30PM --  Family Feud (Second Run) -- KFQX/Channel 4 (FOX)

5:00PM -- Crosswords -- KFQX/Channel 4

6:00PM -- Millionaire -- KREX/Channel 5

6:00PM -- Jeopardy -- KKCO/Channel 11 (NBC)

6:30PM -- Millionaire -- KREX/Channel 5

6:30PM -- Wheel of Fortune -- KKCO/Channel 11

Have not heard anything regarding Temptation.  I know that our trio of stations passed on the show.  KJCT (ABC) is the only commercial open-air station that doesn't run a single non-network game show.

Finally got Albany, N.Y.'s complete syndie line-up.

Wheel and Jeopardy!, of course, stay where they are on WTEN 7-8pm (w/ J!'s 2nd run remaining at 12:30pm).
Millionaire moves from 10am to a double-run  2-3pm on WNYT, replacing Passions.
Feud moves from 10:30 to 11am on WNYT, leading into The Insider starring everyone's favorite guy
The 2 newbies, Crosswords and Temptation, will air back-to-back at 10/10:30am, respectively, on WTEN, knocking Martha off the channel (no double-run for either).

So all 6 syndie games will be split between 2 affiliates.

WSBT (CBS)
11AM-12PM TPiR
7PM-8PM Wheel/J!

WNDU (NBC)

Hm. I talked with the program director of WTTV/WXIN, and he said Temptation and Crosswords would air back-to-back at 1 PM... but the link provided above shows Cops x2 and Springer on those stations at 1 pm, and no sign of them elsewhere.

Other things are up-to-date (like WTHR clearing all 4 hours of Today, moving Ellen to 11 to take on TPiR and The View).

Edit: a promo on TTV Friday night for "2.5 Men", not reflected on that site, confirms they just haven't sent in updated info yet.

In Columbus, I know WSFJ 51 (GTN/Ion) will air Crosswords. It's an odd station for it to be on, but at least it will be on. Going to go look for Temptation right now.

EDIT: After looking, Crosswords airs a double-run at 7 and 7:30PM (against Wheel and J!). Feud on WTTE gets cut back to one airing at 12 noon (12:30 now Judge Judy, 75% of their schedule is court shows). No sign of Temptation (that I could find).

I hate to steal Connecti-matt's possible thunder, but here's the schedule for Connecticut:

11:00 AM: The Price is Right (WFSB, CBS)
12:00/12:30 PM: Family Feud (WTIC, Fox)
1:00/1:30 PM: Millionaire (WTIC, Fox)
2:00 PM: Temptation (WTIC, Fox)
2:30 PM: Crosswords (WTIC, Fox)
7:00 PM: Jeopardy! (WTNH, ABC)
7:30 PM: Wheel (WTNH, ABC)

Heading north to Springfield:
11:00 AM: The Price is Right (WSHM, CBS); Temptation ("WBQT", CW)
12:00/12:30 PM: Family Feud (WTIC, Fox)
1:00/1:30 PM: Millionaire (WTIC, Fox)
2:00 PM: Temptation (WTIC, Fox)
2:30 PM: Crosswords (WTIC, Fox)
7:00 PM: Wheel (WWLP, NBC)
7:30 PM: Jeopardy! (WWLP, NBC)

No Crosswords, but with WTIC serving as the default Fox for the market there is no real loss.

More north to Vermont:
11:00 AM: The Price is Right (WCAX, CBS)
5:00 PM: Family Feud (WVNY, ABC)
5:30 PM: Millionaire (WVNY, ABC)
6:00 PM: Crosswords (WVNY, ABC)
7:00 PM: Jeopardy! (WPTZ/WNNE, NBC)
7:30 PM: Wheel (WPTZ/WNNE, NBC)

No sign of Temptation, and the bizarre nature of the market might be why.

I wonder if they'll still do double runs in the am, or if they'll rerun Crosswords as well.

FOX21 (WBOC21) 12-1: Feud
WBAL 2-3: Crosswords
FOX21 7-8: Wheel and J!
WMDT 7-8: Millionaire

This is sort of surprising to me, because in one of the articles that listed the stations carrying Crosswords (the one that stated it cleared 85% of the country), WBOC was mentioned as one of the stations carrying it, but looking at their schedule via Steve's method (TY much), I see it nowhere. Complimenting this, looking at all the past articles on their clearances, I see not one that mentions WBAL Baltimore carrying it. For some reason, I'm wondering if syndex may be involved somehow...

I don't see Temptation anywhere though, which is a shame. WBOC would've been appropriate, since, with the exception of WOF and J! up until 2005, they've had just about every syndie game since 1980 on their stations at one time or another. The people I know that work there are very much pro-game show. They could've replaced one of their double airings of Judge Hatchett, Judge Alex, or FF to get at least one airing in (I'm pretty sure the 8 am Judge Alex airing isn't doing too much to help FOX21, especially against the local news and Good Morning America).

Then again, I should at least be happy I'll get to see Crosswords. If Temptation does well enough the first go around, here's to hoping for next year.

Here in Topeka it's:

10 AM:  Temptation on KSNT DT2 (CW station owned by NBC station) vs. TPiR on WIBW.
2:30 PM:  Millionaire on KSNT (NBC).
4 PM:  Crosswords on KTKA (ABC), followed immediately on KTKA by a double-run of Jeopardy!
6:30 PM:  Wheel on WIBW (CBS).

To those who haven't heard from the local stations, I suggest that, starting tomorrow, you check out either zap2it.com or tvguide.com, and search the lineup for September 10. The sites usually go two weeks into the future, to that hour, so you might wanna wait till around 5 or 6, long enough to at least see the daytime lineups.

For Cleveland...

WOIO:  Family Feud at 9 AM, Temptation at 9:30 AM, Family Feud at 10 AM, Merv Griffin's Crosswords at 10:30 AM, Millionaire at 7 PM
The info I got from WOIO's programming director was incorrect.  Crosswords is now at 9:30 AM with Temptation at 10:30 AM.  And of course, TPiR is at 11 AM on WOIO.

To go with the above, you might want to wait until 8 if something doesn't show...some places are running shows in the prime access slots (7-8PM).

Also, when selecting a channel lineup, you might want to go with a "over-the-air" setting if possible, unless some of your indy-stations are cable only.  I know I've got one OTA-only station, and it doesn't come up with the cable settings.

Oh...definitely check the indy-stations.

WBGN Ind 59
Temptation 6-7 p.m.
Which, thanks to Comcast's infinite wisdom of NOT carrying Indy stations for an additional CBS and NBC stations, I don't get...argh.

FWIW, I get WBGN on my local cable.

Among the local markets of interest is also Bowling Green, KY - which is a bit interesting:

Syndication Only, Bowling Green, KY:
Temptation: 10:00 AM CT, WBKO-DT3 (CW Affil)
Family feud: 10:00 AM CT, WBKO-DT2 (FOX affil)
Millionaire: 10:30 AM CT, WBKO-DT2
Wheel of Fortune: 6:30 PM CT, WBKO-DT1 (ABC affil.  Confused yet?)

What's missing: Crosswords.  Oh, and Jeopardy!.  Admittedly, the market just launched it's excuses for FOX and CBS affils (both DT2 subchannels) last year, and the CW affil is just re-branded CW Plus stuff, but I would have thought *one* of the program directors would have thought to acquire the #2 show in syndication.  But that would make sense.

An update to my previous post... "Crosswords" will air in Austin on KEYE (CBS) at 4:30, against the newly-moved "Jeopardy." Neither a Zap2It search nor the Austin American-Statesman's TV column about syndicated shows moves/debuts yeilds anything about "Temptation," so I guess it's not airing.

Zap2It doesn't show either new show airing in San Antonio (at least through the end of available data at 7 PM, so I guess they will be in the wee hours, if at all.)

WCTV (CBS, analog channel 6, digital channel 46.1, Mediacom channel 6)
- Family Feud 9:30 AM
- Price Is Right 11:00 AM
- Wheel of Fortune 7:00 PM
- Jeopardy 7:30 PM

WCTV2 (MyNetwork, digital channel 46.2, Mediacom channel 4)
- Family Feud 10:00 AM
- Crosswords 10:30 & 11:00 AM

WSWG (CBS, analog channel 44 unavailable, digital channel 43.1)
- Millionaire 10:00 & 10:30 AM
- Wheel at 7:00 PM and Jeopardy 7:30 PM

WSWG2 (MyNetwork, digital channel 43.2)
- Crosswords 10:00 AM

WFXU/WTLF (CW, analog channel 57 unavailable?, digital channel 49.2, Mediacom channel 2)
- Temptation 11:00 AM

WTXL (ABC, analog channel 27, digital channel 22.1, Mediacom channel 7)

For the curious HD viewers, neither WCTV nor WSWG broadcast Wheel and J! in HD format and it's unknown when the stations will broadcast in the format.

But how do you get Zap2It to cough up those listings for WCTV2? It insists on telling me that the content is identical to WCTV's.

For some reason, WCTV2 just does not appear in the Mediacom lineup, but here's what I did:

After I entered my zipcode, I selected "local broadcast listings" instead of the others.  Then I customized the station list where the subchannels appear then include the digital broadcast channels only.  You may have to have an account to do this.

Since someone already beat me to Pittsburgh, I'll offer my former stomping grounds, Tampa-St. Petersburg, FL...

The biggest surprise is Wheel and Jeopardy moving from WTSP CBS 10 to WFTS ABC 28.  IIRC, the juggernaut pair had been on WTSP from each show's beginning, going back to when WTSP was the local ABC affiliate.  WFTS will also carry Crosswords at 9 a.m. starting 9/10.  One guide I checked, however, has WTSP airing Jeopardy at 9:30 a.m. as well as 7:30 p.m..  I've always envied markets that air J! in the daytime, perhaps Tampa is about to become one of them?

Family Feud appears to be staying on WTTA 38 with the same 2 p.m. double run.

Millionaire will stay on WTSP 10 with a new 7:30 p.m. run.  Most guides are still showing the program at the current 9:00 a.m. double run as well, which might be an error.  The same guides are still showing Wheel and J! at 7 and 7:30 on WTSP, which is incorrect.

Temptation is cleared for WTTA 38, and from what I can gather will double run at 1:00 p.m.

TPIR, of course, remains on WTSP 10 at the usual 11:00 a.m. time.

Updated schedule for the Milwaukee market (the first listed times, if known, are the first-run airings):

TITLE TIME(S)
Crosswords   8:30PM 2:30PM
Feud 4:30PM 2:00PM 7:30PM
Jeopardy 6:00PM 8:00PM
Millionaire  4:00PM
Temptation   3:00PM 3:30PM
Wheel 6:30PM

The first listed times of Feud and Jeopardy, as well as the Millionaire and WoF airings, are on WDJT.  The rest are on their O&O "independent" station, WMLW.

/Yes, that is a triple-run Feud.
//I have no clue why they decided to do that, while having Mill and WoF as singles.

Here's some stuff for So-Bloody-Hot-lanta and Chattanooga concerning Crosswords and Temptation:

WDSI, Chattanooga's Fox affiliate, is airing Temptation at 8 AM
WATL, the MyNet affiliate, is airing Crosswords at 8:30 AM
WXIA is also airing Crosswords at 12:30 PM
WRCB (NBC Chattanooga) is airing an hour of Crosswords from 4-5 PM

Unless I've overlooked something, I don't see Temptation airing in the Atlanta market.  *shrugs shoulders*

Crosswords is going to be hard to find in Omaha-apparently no one's airing it in Omaha, Lincoln, Des Moines or Sioux City.  Nearest markets: KMCI-38 in KC, KTKA-49 in Topeka and KHAS-5 Hastings.  Sigh.  And too bad they dumped the NBC early airing-that would have been good leverage to e-mail the station and say "hey, I liked that show you aired".  But WOWT has the 4-hour Today-fest instead.  Geez, how much more can that show expand?

I see my home market in Tennessee (Kingsport) is Crosswords-less too... (condolences to Mr. Mooneyhan) but WLOS-DT in Asheville NC will run it on their second channel.  Anyone who wants to trade the first week of Crosswords for Temptation, get in touch-looks like I'll need some help!

Wheel of Fortune, KOMO, 7 PM
Jeopardy!, KOMO, 7:30 PM

The new kids on the block:

Merv Griffin's Crosswords, KONG, 6:30 PM (soon to be known as "in the Millionaire hammock?")

Anybody know if a station in Lincoln or Omaha picked up Temptation?  (fingers crossed)

I do now... KXVO 15 will be running "Temptation" at noon weekdays.  But they and KPTM are apparently a no to "Crosswords".  Hmmm...
According to one site, "Crosswords" was sold to at least some stations owned by Gray Broadcasting, which owns Omaha's WOWT.  But I just checked Sept. 10-11 listings for the big three stations, and "Crosswords" isn't on any of them.  As For KPTM (Fox) and KXVO (CW), their program grids are fixed so I only see seven days ahead, so I don't know at this time if they ever plan to show it.

But here's what REALLY gets me: WOWT also has an indie station on subchannel 6.2 and on Cox Digital  Cable called 620 which conceivably could pick up "Crosswords", but so far, nothing.  This fall, I'd love to see WOWT itself clear an overnight hour for the NBC All Night one-week-later Conan replays and move whatever bumps them to 620, also, try and replay "Ellen" in prime time since it occasionally gets interrupted for local or NBC news bulletins or bumped for Wimbledon or other network sports in the afternoons.  Plus, they could have "Crosswords" on 620 even in prime time (though if I were programming 620, I'd have "Crosswords" replace those weekday-afternoon "Bernie Mac" reruns which I'd then run through a mulcher!).

Of course, since 620 is clearly programmed to appeal mainly toward ages 12-29, no such luck.

Quick Atlanta update...

The Titan TV guide lists Gannett-owned WATL will also air "Crosswords" at 8:30am, after an episode of Degrassi: TNG and before an episode of Maury.  No, I can't explain it either.

Still no word on Temptation, but there is a possibility it may pop up in Atlanta in October, when a new TV station enters the Atlanta realm.

In October, Time Warner will no longer provide national TBS superstation programming to the over-the-air Atlanta market.  A "national" TBS channel will be made available to Atlanta-area cable systems starting in October, and the "local" TBS will be replaced by WPCH-TV, aka "Peachtree TV".

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution says Peachtree TV has picked up syndication rights to several sitcoms, as well as Montel Williams, which will apparently air on WSB until the Peachtree TV launch (Believe Montel has been on WSB ever since the show launched).

Not sure if Peachtree TV has picked up Temptation, or if WSB plans to replace Montel with Temptation.

Now that WBGT has chosen a slot -- or two -- for Temptation, here's the full list for Rochester, NY:

Family Feud: 2:30-3 pm, WUHF/Fox
Jeopardy!: 7:30-8 pm, WROC/CBS
Merv Griffin's Crosswords: 10-11 am, WHAM/ABC (double run)
The Price Is Right: 11 am-12 noon, WROC/CBS
Temptation: WBGT/My, 9:30-10 am and 4-4:30 pm (double run)
Wheel of Fortune: 7-7:30 pm, WROC/CBS
Who Wants to Be a Millionaire: 12:30 pm, WHEC/NBC

I also found three other outlets for Temptation that are available on my free-to-air satellite system.  In case I'm not the only one with a digital FTA receiver and a dish pointed at Galaxy 10R, here's the list (all times Eastern, all double run):

WBLU-LP Lexington, KY (RTN), 2-3 pm (RTN = Retro Television Network)
KWBF Little Rock, AR (My), 2-3 pm
WGMU-CA Burlington, VT/Plattsburgh, NY (My), 12 noon-1 pm

WBLU also is carrying Crosswords at 5:30 pm.

I'll chime in for the SoFL area...

10:00AM (7-WSVN): "Family Feud" (back-to-back episodes)
11:00AM (7-WSVN): "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" (back-to-back episodes)
              (4-WFOR): "The Price Is Right"
4:00PM (6-WTVJ): "Merv Griffin's Crosswords" (No double run here, sorry)
7:00PM: (10-WPLG): "Wheel Of Fortune"
7:30PM: (10-WPLG): "Jeopardy!"

No word about "Temptation" airing in the country's 16th largest market. Here's to hoping that'll change soon.

We have a time slot for "Temptation" here in Miami-Ft. Lauderdale;  it's being aired here on WSVN-7 overnights at 2:30 AM.

No Crosswords here in Boise, but our schedule is as such:

9 AM, KBCI 2 (Cable 8): Price
10 AM, KNIN-DT2: Temptation
2 PM, KTVB 7: Double run of Feud (replacing Passions)
2:30 PM: KIVI 6: Millionaire
6 & 6:30 PM, KBCI 2: Wheel & Jeopardy
Just talked to the program director at KNIN, and after a year of negotiations, the CW Plus (which is their second digital sub-channel, which was taken off CableOne after the CW was launched) will be returning to CableOne; the relevance is that at least in this market, Temptation will air on CW Plus. Is there any market in which Tempation airs on a CW Plus channel?

I've always envied markets that air J! in the daytime,
...why?
Two reasons... one, there's just something sort of surreal about it, because it's such a rarity (I get the same feeling sometimes during the nighttime TPIR specials).  Secondly, in nearly every place I've ever lived, Jeopardy! goes up against reruns of The Simpsons on another channel, and I hate having to choose.  So yeah, I think it'd be neat for one of my local stations to air J! in the daytime.  Certainly nothing to pack your bags and relocate over, but neat nonetheless.

When us Indianians in the Michiana area didn't observe DST, J! was on at 10:30AM (they tape-delayed TPiR for 11), and Wheel at 6:30.  I don't remember exactly, but I think around 1997 or so, when they weren't tape-delaying TPiR, J! was airing at 9:30, into TPiR at 10, and Y&R at 11 (Wheel still at 6:30).

DST, of course, keeps everything the same.  Thank god.

/but oh how I miss watching the early night news at 9...

Not really, but if you're willing to pay for the service they will send you one for free. Won't be the whiz-bang hidef one, but it'll be one.

And if you're not willing to pay that much for the service, the vast majority of cable companies offer integrated DVR service for somewhere in the ballpark of $5-10 a month over what you're already paying.

My point is that the functionality is significantly more affordable than it was in the past. If that's too much, VCR's still work. There *are* alternatives.

Seriously, blow me. Not only did I NOT crap on your opinion, I already said outright that I just wanted to know why you felt that way. Once I found out, I said I didn't happen to think it was a big deal, because when a show is syndicated it can pretty much show up anywhere. Appears Temptation and Crosswords are airing in Lexington after all.  Sort of.

Lexington, Fall 2007:
Who Wants to Be a Millionaire: 12:30 PM ET - WTVQ (ABC)
Temptation (Primary): 2 PM ET - WBLU-LP (MyTV/RTN)
Temptation (Seconardy): 2:30 PM ET - WBLU-LP (MyTV/RTN)
Crosswords: 5:30 PM ET - WBLU-LP (MyTV/RTN)
Family Feud: 6:00 PM ET - WKYT-DT2 (CW)
Wheel of Fortune: 7:00 PM ET - WKYT (CBS)
Jeopardy!: 7:30 PM ET - WKYT (CBS)

Temptation and Crosswords got bought by a low-power station that serves as both the MyNetworkTV and Retro Television Network (a startup broadcast service offering old TV during both the daytime and primetime - a sort of ION with a much wider programming selection and scheduling options).  The station was fairly aggressive in syndication this fall - getting several of the new shows for Fall 07.

At the moment, the station has a hell of a carriage problem.  I live in downtown Lexington and can't even receive this station.  It's not available via the local cable provider (Insight).  The station is actually seeking permission for a signal boost, so I'm told, but it hasn't been approved yet.

At this point, it's actually easier for me to try to DX either Louisville, or preferably Cincinnati (shudder) to receive the shows.

Crosswords:  10:00 AM on WTEN (ABC-10)
Temptation:  10:30 AM on WTEN (ABC-10)
Family Feud:  11:00 AM on WNYT (NBC-13)
Millionaire:  Double run from 2:00-3:00 PM on WNYT (moved from 10:00 AM; WNYT will be carrying the fourth hour of Today
WOF:  7:00 PM on WTEN
Jeopardy:  7:30 PM on WTEN, with a year-old episode at 12:30 PM (at least, that's what they've been doing since the soap opera got cancelled, although the TitanTV guide lists "Jeopardy Daytime", whatever that is).

I don't see any syndie game shows on WRGB (CBS-6) or WXXA (Fox-23).

And who are Mike and Juliet?  Apparently they've convinced some exec to give them a TV talk show.

Mike Jerrick and Juliet Huddy used to be the co-hosts of Fox & Friends Weekend on Fox News Channel.  FNC execs decided that their talents warranted another try at syndication (Geraldo at Large was the first); The Morning Show (http://\"http://www.mandjshow.com/\") is more or less their old show but lighter and less news-oriented.

The show's been on for close to a year but first aired only on the Fox owned-and-operated stations; later a few more stations picked up the show here and there, but this is the official nationwide launch.

Hmmm... didn't see that one.  KNTV-11 wasn't the NBC affiliate on the cable at our hotel; it was KSBW-8 Salinas.  But I couldn't get KNTV over the air in Monterey-Bay Area signals were few and far between (a few UHFs was it).

I am due a heaping helping of crow. More detailed research than what I was able to do when you posted indicates that KNTV is indeed no longer on Monterey Comcast, and that they shut down their Loma Prieta transmitter when they moved to Mt. San Bruno and changed their focus to become the main NBC affiliate for San Francisco. Which means OTA is no longer an option. Suck.

So you're right...unless KSBW picks it up (and they have Wheel, Jeopardy, Oprah, and Dr. Phil, so why would they), no soup for the good people of the Central Coast.

10:00am  WRDC  Temptation
10:30am  WRDC  Merv Griffin's Crosswords
11:00am  WRDC  Family Feud (double run) *
12:30pm WTVD  Who Wants to Be a Millionaire
7:00pm  WTVD  Jeopardy! (24th year on WTVD)
7:30pm  WTVD  Wheel of Fortune

*This one I don't understand at all because Feud is being pushed out of its noon slot for another courtroom show (Judge David Young, BAH!) and placed up against TPIR.  Whoever had the nerve to come up with that decision (especially since Drew is coming to Price in October) is either a game show hater or just plain ignorant; either way, they shouldn't be in the programming business at all based on that faux pas!

Yes, they have no sense because they program one game show against another. Did it ever occur to you that not everyone watches The Price is Right? When I was in college, I occasionally got a "That show's still on?!" anytime I watched it in the office.

And maybe they wanted to put Feud against something other than newscasts, and perhaps they think it would compete better against another game show. That might be a stretch, but it's just one of many scenarios. I think they have more programming sense than you, once you take the fanb0i shades off.

That's not intended as a slam, but giving a game show an 11 am slot is not "ignorant"...you should be happy it even gets a daytime slot, considering I've seen overnite hours for some shows in this thread.

An update to Philadelphia... it appears Crosswords is on KYW (CBS) at 9:00 AM, with Family Feud to follow at 9:30 AM.

Temptation is on WTXF (FOX) at 3:00 AM.  Talk about burying the show...
With WFMZ on cable and satellite in most of the Philadelphia DMA (and easy availability of adjacent markets in the suburbs), the sting would be lessened, yes? WTXF could be getting the show to hedge on the failure/underperformance of another show on top of Fox probably foisting the show on them.

Green Bay:

10-11am TPIR - WFRV (CBS)
9:30am or 10:30am?? Crosswords - WACY (MyNetwork)
3-4pm Feud (double run) - WGBA (NBC)
3:30pm Temptation - WFRV (CBS)
4:30pm Millionaire - WBAY (ABC)
6:00pm J! - WLUK (FOX)
6:30pm Wheel - WLUK (FOX)

Crosswords is a strange one, as according to the Program Partners website, Green Bay was one of the last cities to get clearance.  I couldn't find it on any listings sites until today, where zap2it has it listed on WACY at 10:30am for the 10th-14th, and at 9:30am on the 17th, which is as far as the listings go.  I'm not sure if they're moving the show after one week or one if the 9:30 listing is an error.

Since CW Plus is a 24/7 turnkey network (the local broadcast partner and/or cable system only insert local ads and IDs), "Temptation" will be on all CW Plus channels--and is exclusive to the CW Plus channel in each market, as are all syndicated programs airing on CW Plus.

Alas, no Temptation or Crosswords for me from the stations in Memphis, Tupelo or Jackson, Tenn.

According to zap2it... The schedule in the Rose City (Portland, OR) is:

9:00AM - Temptation (KPDX, MyNetworkTV/Ind.)
10:00AM - The Price is Right (KOIN, CBS)
1:00PM - Merv Griffin's Crosswords (KGW, NBC)
4:00PM - Who Wants To Be a Millionaire? (KATU, ABC)
7:00PM - Jeopardy! (KATU, ABC)
7:30PM - Wheel of Fortune (KATU, ABC)
2:05AM - Family Feud (KOIN, CBS)
2:35AM - Family Feud

Sad thing is, Feud WAS on at 9AM before Price, and that's currently filled by paid programming. I wonder which flavor-of-the-year star's getting a talk show this season?

As of 9/10/2007 the Roanoke/Lynchburg Virginia Market will have this....

10:00am-Family Feud (WDBJ/CBS)
10:30am-WWTBAM     (WDBJ/CBS)
11:00am-TPIR  (WDBJ/CBS)
4:00pm-Family Feud (WDBJ 7.2DT/MNT)
4:30pm-WWTBAM  (WDBJ 7.2DT/MNT)
5:00pm-Jeopardy! (WDBJ 7.2DT/MNT)
5:30pm-Temptation (WDBJ 7.2DT/MNT)
7:00pm-Wheel of Fortune (WDBJ/CBS)
7:30pm-Jeopardy!  (WDBJ/CBS)

So no "Let's Play Crosswords" in our area, however 6 of the 7 daytime game shows are on 1 station, that's pretty good!  Game shows do WDBJ-7 much, much good. It's the dominate station in the commonwealth (west of Richmond!) Not talking about GS but ratings period.

Mike and Juliet, which I believe, will air in the mornings. I don't even think there's too many court shows this year...maybe one or two.

2008 will be an interesting season; no sitcom reruns set to debut, as every new sitcom from fall-2003 and 04 tanked, except for Two and a Half Men, which debuts next week.

I don't consider Hope and Faith and Eve, both had Fall 2003 debuts, tanked as they had three season runs but neither made the magical 100-episode mark.  Apparently Hope airs on Women's Entertainment.

The Morning Show airs on WSWG, which is owned by Gray Television, weekday mornings since I started watching digital over-the-air TV back in April.

ObGS: I'm looking forward to Temptation tonight.

Some other syndicated stuff:

Here is what I have for the Lansing, MI market (after having to call stations, since the guide data is not correct yet, which I did point out to the stations when I called).
11:00 a.m.  The Price Is Right WLNS
11:00 a.m.  Temptation WLAJDT2 (CW Affiliate)
 5:30 p.m.   Merv Griffin's Crosswords  WILX
 6:00 p.m.   Family Feud WHTV
 6:30 p.m.   Family Feud WHTV
7:00 p.m.   Who Wants to be a Millionaire  WLAJ
7:30 p.m.   Who Wants to be a Millionaire  WLAJ
7:00 p.m.   Wheel of Fortune   WILX
 7:30 p.m.   Jeopardy!  WILX

Pretty much the same as last year, except WWTBAM switches stations and time and the two new ones are added.

Rich

Edit:  TVGuide now has the updated listings and I see that WWTBAM has a double run.  Now for tv.zap2it.com and www.titantv.com to get the updated listings (and thus my TiVo).

Awww...thanks for the sentiment!  :)

But, even if it is, I won't be able to see it, as I only have basic cable (my apartment complex pays for basic cable...).  If I get the motivation, I might try and DX KHAS in Hastings, but, at the very least, I'll get to see it when I return to Illinois for Christmas break (yay WMAQ!).

Oh, and since everyone else is doing it, here's the syndie game show schedule for Lincoln:

All are single runs.  So far, no Crosswords, but there's a slight glimmer of hope that it'll be on KCWL (10:30-11:30 a.m. is currently listed as "To Be Announced" on Zap2it).  BTW, what the heck is with Omaha having J! and WOF on two different stations?  :)

Just for clarification, there is only one "new new" talk show this year in syndication, AFAIK--the Steve-the-security-guy show.  Mike and Juliet and the retooled and moved-to-Chicago "iVillage Live" (with Bill and Ereka of "Apprentice 1"--isn't he supposed to be supervising the building of the Chicago Trump Tower?--it's not done yet) were test marketing for the last nine months.

BTW, the ivillage.com show's been renamed "In the Loop with iVillage"--the only problem is that the NBC Tower is *north* of the Loop.  The only TV facility *currently* in the Loop is WLS' studios, owned by Disney, so forget that.  (CBS-owned WBBM will be moving into the Loop in a couple of years.)  At least it's not as bad as doing the show in the really-far from the Loop WTTW studios on the Far Northwest Side.

ObGameShow:  If it wasn't for iVillage, "Crosswords" would've originated from the NBC Tower in Chicago instead of LA.

Doesn't apply directly to me, but I did notice that upstart WHVL (http://\"http://www.whvl.com/index.html\"), a brand-new MNTV affiliate on channel 29 in the Johnstown/Altoona market, will be airing double runs of Temptation (10-11am) and Crosswords (11am-12n). Good news for that market.*

Looks like channel 29 is based out of State College and has a LP signal, but has already gained carriage on several local cable systems, including Johnstown and Altoona.

*Their local news and on-air is still bottom of the barrel.

/I wonder what three-letter abbreviation TV Guide would have given My Network TV alongside affiliates on the station info page if the network started in the digest heyday. MNT maybe? MYT? Just MY? None of us can agree on a standard abbreviation as of yet, from what I've seen. [17] WPHL (MNT)?

//WTAJ hasn't updated their logo in what must be 15 years.

///WATM's logo looks like it was created in Microsoft Word.

In Lansing, our NBC affiliate has not gotten the correct information to listing services, so trying to record some season premieres is proving to be a little challenging for my Tivo.  The listings still show Millionaire airing twice a day, when in fact another station in the market will have Meredith this fall.  One of those phantom airings is where I believe Crosswords is going to be later today.  Meanwhile, the listings go on to say that the station is airing all four hours of Today in the morning (followed by Regis at 11), when instead this morning they had Regis at 9 and Mike & Juliet at 10.

Seems like today of all days, you'd want your listings to be as accurate as possible.

I know that when I called WBGT to ask if a time for Temptation had been chosen, I was told that it would be "a couple of weeks or so" before the listings were correct for all of the station's new shows.  As of this morning, both the cable box's guide and Zap2It listed an infomercial for 9:30 am and the long-running To Be Announced for 4 pm, although Temptation airs in both slots.

Granted, WBGT is a low-power station (although it pays Time Warner for cable carriage) and doesn't have the world's largest budget, but you'd think that would make them even more eager to make sure people know when to find the newest shows.

That is what I thought too - I finally called them last Thursday to get the correct lineup and let them know that the guide data was not correct yet.  It seems to be fixed everywhere except with Tribune (where zap2it and TiVo get their data from).  The station that has WWTBAM doesn't have the correct data either.

I have repeating manual recordings set on my TiVo until the guide data gets correct and stabilizes.

I figured we weren't getting Temptation, but I didn't realize until today we've lost Family Feud as well.  Actually, they're both on in my area, but now only on a digital channel which I can't get.

Unfortuantely, these shows aren't fed via regular C-band satellite anymore   :(

Oh well...at least I've got the others.

An update for anyone interested in the new shows in the Memphis area:

On WPXX (ion/mynetworktv) in the p.m.:

5:00 Temptation
5:30 Temptation
6:00 Crosswords

None of these are shown in TV listings for WPXX, and the station has been running promos stating Feud would air at 5 p.m. No sign of Feud yet today, but fans of infomercials and Mama's Family repeats are happy.

UPDATE: Looks like Feud is a 9/9:30 p.m. block.

Update in the Lansing market - as I should have remembered from last season with WWTBAM, Crosswords actually starts at 5:29 instead of 5:30 - so I missed the opening and contestant intros today- will have to wait until tomorrow to see that.  Also, for the double run of WWTBAM, the 2nd show was the 1st show of last season.

Small update in Phoenix. Feud's double run has moved from KPHO CBS 5 to KTVK 3TV (Ind.) and will now air at 1 pm.

"WWTBAM"'s double run is always from the previous season, shown in the exact same order.

Thanks for the info - I never really paid attention to our double run before.  Now I can stop recording the 2nd show each day.

Tell me what you think of my schedule:

7:00 -
Jeopardy! (CBS)
Family Feud (FOX)
Temptation (MNTV)
Crosswords (Independent)

7:30 -
Wheel of Fortune (CBS)
Family Feud (FOX)
Millionaire (ABC)
Temptation (MNTV)
Crosswords (Independent)

Judge shows seem to take up the rest of the afternoon.  Our affiliates pick up every single one, and there are like 10 of them now.

And pray tell us what evil TV market city is attempting to nuke most of the game show genre in a single hour?

I only moved here in December, but when I visited before, I seemed to remember it being on 3TV. I believe it was on KASW at one point also.
