Does anybody know the name of the song from this showcase (http://\"http://70.84.119.226/~evemag/media_tpir/segment87a.mov\")? By that, I mean the first song, since I know that the second song is "Celebration" by Kool & the Gang...

It sounds like, but I'm in no way certain about this, a dance mix of "She's So Fine".

Who recorded the song She's So Fine, anyway? I am not able to listen to that clip on my computer, but given the time frame of Celebration, could you possibly be thinking of He's So Shy by the Pointer Sisters, which was a #3 hit a few months before Celebration hit #1.

If I'm ever on Millionaire, I'm not calling you for music trivia. It was the Chiffons (#1, 1963). Anybody who got an A in History of Rock 'n' Roll (as I did--it was an actual course at my college, BTW) knows that.

What is the song played during the description of the stereo in this clip? Am I mistaken, or is this part of the Blues Brothers soundtrack?

I'm not so sure I'd call you for music trivia, either. The Chiffons, naturally, recorded "He's So Fine."

That song is a version of "Hold On, I'm Coming".

A quick Google search shows Jimi Hendrix, among others who recorded "She's So Fine".
Of course, its possible that the original poster got the title wrong; and I couldn't find said clip to listen to it.

I may have. It's entirely possible.

Don't be too hard on yourself. Now if you had said it was a George Harrison tune......
