Can someone tell me when these openings were used in the original CS run

 cardsrk2.wav = Closing theme, April 1978-April 1979
cardsrk3.wav = Closing theme, April 1979-October 1981

Actually, the second link you posted is the complete theme, with the CS opening edited from it (0:00 to about 0:12 for the claps and 1:24 to about 1:50 for the opening).  The whole theme was played over during the credits in the later years.

The first link is an edit that basically chopped off a portion of the theme, and was used as its closing during the credits early in the run.
