Steve Beverly says Doug Davidson hosted one once in his coverage today. It sounds plausible to me. Does anyone disagree with his claim?

It was mentioned in ATGS that All-American(as Fremantle was known in 1996-97, not long after they purchased the Goodson format rights) had Doug Davidson(not long removed from TNPIR94) on their preliminary list of hosts for a Feud revival. The first Feud pilot done under their umbrella was with Dolly Parton in 1997; it is believed Davidson never did a pilot for Feud.

Didn't Dolly also do a "Match Game" pilot? Or are we getting them confused?

Are you sure you're not thinking of Charlene Tilton?

Yeah...that could be it. I guess I'd better stop thinking about both of them :)

From what I gathered in these pages having asked about that horrendous pilot a year or so ago, I gleaned that Match Game attempt made You're In The Picture look like Masterpiece Theatre.

That's the impression I got...LOL...and the attempted CS pilot w/Tom Green (the former Sports on Tap host, not the too-skinny comedian w/the same name) produced at the same time was equally bad...no survey questions, both players tried to clear a single 10-card pyramid, and worst of all, no Money Cards, replaced by an endgame more akin to TPiR's Shell Game w/a video clip element not unlike that used on the equally bad 01 revival.
