Yeah, it was Resorts International in Atlantic City.
What resort did the Davidson Squares tape at when they went to Hollywood FL? I think they went twice.

Powerball Instant Millionaire---Venetian, later Orleans

..and if you're counting pilots, the Bob Stewart '69 pilot Second Guessers in Miami. What was that..the Hotel Plaza? Do you think Bob wanted a room in Miami without paying for it, so he tells the managers if he can have a room, he'll invent and tape a pilot game show there the next morning and make them all famous??
-
Wheel taped at the Las Vegas Hilton and taped at a hawaiian resort when the went to honolulu. I think everywhere else they went was at a theater or convention center.
BTW, my dad is a businessman. He frequently went to Los Angeles on business trips. Once when he came home he told my mom (when Personals was taping), "Hey, I was on my way home and there was this guy asking me to go see this stupid dating show. He looked pretty desperate, so I went to see it. I came out of that room laughing my ass off. Now I'm hoping to god that TV never ends up like THAT piece of crap.
Go Dad.

Certain locations in Disney World are resorts, even if the whole place isn't.
And in that "Second Guessers" pilot, didn't I hear Jack Clark say in the plug that the auditorium in that hotel in Miami where they taped was the "winter home" of the Kenley Players, the Ohio summer stock circuit that provided Mike Douglas with celebrity co-hosts during the summer when he based his show in Cleveland?

Just curious, Chris: Did you mean to write "execrable"? If Ruckus was that bad, though, it could qualify as both execrable and excretable. (I well know you have a wicked sense of humor, so I'm not trying to berate you for a typo that you intended as a joke.)

I probably did, I've never gotten that phrase right. I'd always figured "excretable" fit. :)

They went for four weeks. Two weeks in the first season and two weeks consecutively in the 2nd season. They also taped at Club Med in the Bahamas for a week.
The Diplomat has since changed a lot, becoming somewhat of a twin tower esque building.

Although the MGM Grand hosted the Wheel Of Fortune Live show back a few years ago with Michael Burger as emcee, though it was not a televised event. Nonetheless, the MGM was one helluva step up from the Sheraton LAX for Burger!

Some Googling I did after that post out of interest discovered that there in fact was, in 1980. It was then rebuilt from the Marina Hotel in 1989.

This is totally obscure, but-
Aussie Wheel of Fortune taped it's 20th anniversary show at Conrad Jupiter's on the Gold Coast...
I have no clue how I came up with that one...
-
When "Win Lose or Draw" shot in Hawaii, were they at a resort?
And when they showed "Queen for a Day" on Trio, I believe they were at the Fountainbleu in Miami, if not at a hotel in Hollywood, too. (Not that we typically bring up that show, but I'm just tickled I could answer the question.)

And it was said fire that supposedly thwarted the short-lived $50K Pyramid's plans for a 2nd season, from the Grand.

MGM Grand was orginally a straight across building. During the 90s, the addition that crossed the old hotel was added (hey, they had to compete somehow!)

I'm not sure on the name, but I believe that for a good portion of "Queen's" run on radio and television, it originated from a *restaurant* in Hollywood called the Moulin Rouge (no relation to any Nicole Kidman movie).
Along those same lines, something in the back of my mind tells me that "T or C" and "It Could Be You" originated from the Knickerbocker Hotel in Hollywood for part of their runs, as NBC was finishing moving out of their old Hollywood studios for Burbank.
