For those who aren't online NY Times Crossword solvers(or those who are who haven't yet seen it), Sunday's puzzle "Match Play" is related to our favorite genre of TV :)

And of course, you realize that we've traveled back to last month, right, Zach?

Not to defend Zach or anything, but that puzzle may be fresh to his paper. NYT's Sunday puzzles appear in other papers up to 6 weeks after their debut in the Times itself. In my area, we're enjoying last week's puzzle today.

Or it could be that the header says 5/5 instead of 6/5...Nah, that couldn't be it

It debuted in the NY Times magazine section today, but debuted online at 6PM EST last night.

Well, whenever it appeared (cutting Zach some slack for a typo), it's a delightful puzzle.
I'm not surprised someone beat me to the punch mentioning it.

I'm surprised that I didn't even mention it!
It was a nice puzzle - I can't remember my solve time - but I can only hope to produce puzzles as half as entertaining as that (I do have a daily puzzle coming up soon in the Times, will advise of the date soon).

The New York Times puzzles (including the many that I don't construct) are available by subscription only through their website. An annual subscription costs $34.95, but I believe you can subscribe for monthly for less.
The constructor of this Sunday's puzzle, Patrick Merrell, is quickly becoming one of the more talented puzzle creators.

The puzzle seemed more like something Henry Hook would do.
