Here's the list me and my friend came up with so far:
Richard Dawson
Betty White
Bill Cullen
Bert Convy
Bob Barker
Tom Kennedy
Jack Narz
And two "technicals":
Jon Bauman
Charles Nelson Reilly
Any we're missing?
-
Allen Ludden
Larry Blyden may also have guested.
And, courtesy of Curt Alliaume in a post on ATGS in 1998:
- Dick Martin (Mindreaders, The Cheap Show)
- Elaine Joyce (The All-New Dating Game)
- Peter Marshall (Hollywood Squares, of course)
- Vicki Lawrence (Win, Lose or Draw)
- Richard Dawson (of course!)
- Nipsey Russell (Your Number's Up)
- Dick Gautier (It's Your Bet)
- Joe Flynn (It Pays to Be Ignorant)
- Arte Johnson (Knockout)
- Joe Garagiola ($ale of the Century, To Tell the Truth)
- Bill Anderson (The Better Sex)
- Chuck Woolery (WoF -- may have only appeared on MG-HS)
- Richard Kline (TTTT, sort of -- may have only appeared on MG '90)
- Marjorie Goodson-Cutt (hostess, Classic Concentration -- MG '90 only)
-
Bobby Van
Elaine Joyce
Larry Blyden
Arlene Francis
-
* Gene Wood
* Robert Q. Lewis
-
Don't forget Sarah Purcell of course
-
Steve Allen. Jack Carter, if you count pilots. The '60's NBC series had quite a few, but since the shows can't be seen and the hosts are from shows you've never heard of, it would be somewhat pointless to list them.

Art James
Dick Clark
Nipsey Russell*
Don Ameche (Take A Chance)
Joe Garagiola*
Bill Cosby (1992 You Bet Your Life)
Jan Murray
Edgar Bergen (Do You Trust Your Wife?)
Bill Cullen*
Don Adams (Screen Test)*
Ed McMahon
Bert Parks
Soupy Sales*
Steve Allen*
Hugh Downs
Bill Leyden
Tom Kennedy*
Allen Ludden*
Peter Marshall*
Arte Johnson*
Bert Convy*
Garry Moore
Also, Ben Stein was on the 1998 version.
Hope that helps.....

As was John Salley (I Can't Believe You Said That!).

Shows you've never heard of? SHOWS YOU'VE NEVER HEARD OF???
This is the Inviison Board! There is no such animal!
Thanks for the list. Given a few hours and some beverage I would have pulled all those names.

My bad, It's just that I don't see a lot of discussion on which Bill Leyden or Jan Murray show is everyone's favorite around here.

Far better than muffin.
And two "technicals":
Jon Bauman
Charles Nelson Reilly
Nothing technical about it. They both had their own series...is it because you don't like them?

I think he's suggesting it's a "technical" because Bauman and CNR were in fact affiliated with Match Game themselves. The OP forgets Bauman had "The Pop & Rocker Game" which qualifies him by himself (and he was on Match Game 7x as Bowzer before he had the MGHSH gig).
I don't have my EOTVGS handy...what game show did CNR host on his own?

"Sweethearts". And no, I'm not calling you that, not that there's anything wrong with that. :-)
BTW, you left the toilet seat up again. ;-)
-
I was thinking it was because Jon and Charles appeared on MG before ever being a host. I would have put Elaine Joyce in this category as well.
-
MG/HS also had a few GS hosts...in addition to the aforementioned Steve Allen, Elaine Joyce, Dick Martin, Bill Cullen, CNR and Nipsey Russell, they also had:
Bob Eubanks
Bill Rafferty
David Ruprecht
Chuck Woolery
...while MG '90 had Jonathan Prince (before and during the run of his short-lived Quiz Kids Challenge) and Tom Parks.
Chuck Donegan (The Illustrious "Chuckie Baby")
