There you go. Anyone else think that with the re-emergence of the Lingo "ABCs" promos and the Greed promos with Chuck Woolery himself, as well as Chuck W taking over the up-next bumpers, this is a coincidence?

Damn. Four letters? Six letters? Ten? Golden. Five letters? Not so much.
We are seeking teams of two, ages 18-40.

Unfortunetly, they're only doing auditions in LA. They're taping in June and July. If you're in the area--give them a call.
-
Looks like Chuck is back in a big way. GSN must've struck a deal where Chuck would be able to do almost anything (coming up next voices, reviving Lingo from an almost death, having Chuck shows splatted all over the place with Greed, Lingo, and Love Connection). Pretty soon you'll see Chuck giving tours of the GSN buildings while eating cottage cheese :)
I don't mind though. Now Gimme WOF and Scrabble (although we all know it's next to impossible especially if the WOF rumours are true).
Chuck, Chuck, he's our man. If he can't do it....
....... we'll problably see Naturally Stoned again :p Blerch.
-
And hopefully, this will be the beginning for some more GSN original (in-studio). Hell, do something based on Blackjack even, or do something like Celebrity Blackjack, just with civilians...if it's engaging enough with F-list stars playing for charity, I'm sure it would work with everyday people playing for themselves, and a much lower budget. ;-)

No, she won't, which is kind of depressing. Well, at least Beverly says she won't, I'll double check. Stacey really helped with Chuck's apparent lack of vocabulary at certain points and aided in keeping some form to the show during the Lingo ball drawing, but oh well. Now I just wonder what they are going to do with the set since that Stacey's area is quite large and is very visible during the pan to the Lingo board.

That's funny...the last time I watched Lingo, when Chuck said the points were being doubled in the second round, that thought that crossed my mind. Of course, that would require actually having a studio audience. ;-)

There was a show where not only did Stacey appear but they also had another model. I tuned in mid-show so I don't know if there was an explanation, or something they tried out for some shows. I like having Stacey on the show, though I agree that she is as neccessary as Vanna.

It was the first ep. of the new season, but seeing how useless she was (all she did was point at the board while Stacey did all the talking), GSN was probabaly writing her pink slip during the first commercial break.
-
Sorry to revive a dead post, I just posted some more Lingo news on Buzzer! and thought I would crosspost it here.
Lingo's order is 65 episodes. If they run two new episodes an evening, only 7 weeks worth of episodes doesn't seem like very much.
It's now being listed as "Win Up to $10,000". I'm not sure if they added the trip to $5,000, or if that's just $10,000 in cash, but I'm hoping for the cash.
Stacey is gone, but a new one is coming in. They are looking for a new model currently, so this may be the first season where the set doesn't change.
-
The model doesn't serve ANY useful purpose. Stacey was horrid and I couldn't (and still can't) watch any episodes she did. Why even bother? The game carries itself well without any additional help.
-
Oh man, yet another bash Stacey post - when is it ever going to end? Stacey made the show what it is today.

So you think they were feeding Stacey the definitions through the IFB? She's certainly not a real game show judge, but I wouldn't be surprised if the producers used the computer as an ersatz teleprompter [sic].

I don't know how she got them for certain, but I'm saying she damned well didn't look them up herself, that's for sure.
but I wouldn't be surprised if the producers used the computer as an ersatz teleprompter [sic].
Well, clearly the flatscreen monitor was hooked into the studio's video system, since it did display a picture. You wouldn't need the actual computer for that, though, an adapter or two would just route it right in, and the control room could control what shows up on it at their whim. It's wholly possible that whatever software they used to run the game allowed them to flash a message at the bottom of the screen for her, in what would be "the dead zone" of the broadcast image, which is what they put up on the projection TV.
