Title: P+ Question

While watching the P+ ep on 5/2, I noticed that, on the desk in front of each player, there was a little indicator light to let the emcee know whose turn it was and who got to answer.  (Kind of a pint-sized version of the player lights on "Chain Reaction")

After 25-some-odd years, I have never seen those lights before. Was this light system always there, or was this added during the P+ run?

I'll hang up and listen now, and perhaps our P+ afficionado can chime in on this.
