Are there any CBS affiliates that are knocking off Jeopardy's Ultimate Tournament of Champions due to March Madness? That really loses the flow.
KHOU in Houston is (along with Price Is Right & Wheel of Fortune to sweep the game shows under the rug). They always do that to game shows, but I'm thankful they didn't knock off Ken Jennings during the week of US Open Tennis.

We get two stations on Comcast here in Lancaster, PA that air WoF and J!...the local Harrisburg CBS affiliate (WHP) will pre-empt the shows, but we can catch them on Philadelphia's own WPVI, albeit in reverse order.
And I know it messes up the flow for some of you, but c'mon...this time in the Men's College Basketball season is fantastic. Watch the last five minutes of a couple first-round games and maybe I'll change your mind, doubters out there.

I thought Witch, Horan, and Trivia were supposed to be kicking it sometime soon. Guess we were wrong!
If Jeopardy does get pre empted, I wonder if the local affiliates would do them on Saturday or Sunday, depending on the city. It is probably tough for a CBS affiliate to re schedule anything (seems how Madness is from Noon to Midnight damn near every Madness day from Thursday - Sunday)

FYI:
Games are as follows (All times ET):
12N - 5PM, 7PM - 12M Thursday and Friday
1PM - 10PM Saturday
12N - 7PM Sunday (can't pre-empt 60 MINUTES)
So there are slots where shows can be shifted around (either in the 5PM-7PM break or after Craiggers Deux).

Nahh...give me "Flashdance" any day! :)

The simple answer is that if your CBS affiliate carries Jeopardy in that hour before prime time, then it'll be pre-empted. If your local station cares more about Jeopardy than one of its other syndicated shows, they might play it at an earlier time, but don't count on it. Better to annoy one fan base than two. The obvious thing to do is to call the station and ask if they have a rescheduled time to air those shows, even if it's in the middle of the night. That's what VCR's (and DVR's) are for.

Or what about the two weeks of partial of full GS preemptions for US OPen coverage in late August-early September?
-

And interestingly enough, they would always pick up the next day w/the ep that was pre-empted, which kinda threw off Jackpot, being it was supposed to "wrap up" on Fri.

An e-mail to Tallahassee, FL's WCTV confirms that they also will not be airing the preempted J! episodes at any point. But they'll "resume on Monday"! What magnanimosity.

Sure, KHOU does that for Y&R, B&B, As The World Turns & Guiding Light whenever breaking into one of those soaps.
But when it comes to the game shows, they give em the cold shoulder just like Prejudice Fox Sports does for the Toronto Blue Jays! Oprah beats Price Is Right on special days.
At least Houston will be left with Family Feud (KHWB), the Pax games, Trato Hecho, 100 Mejicanos Dijeron & on KTRK, Who Wants To Be An Insominac, I mean Millionaire @ 12:05 AM (a rotten time).

I can't believe you are still perpetrating this patently false conspiracy theory even after I explained it to you shortly after you started voiding your mental bowels onto this forum.
Oprah beats Price Is Right on special days.
And on the West Coast, if they follow the same schedule they've been following for years, Price will air sometime in the afternoon, between the morning and evening NCAA sessions. The local affiliate I used to work at ran it at 3, we'd do a special 30-minute news at 4, and then the evening session started at 4:30.
But hey, let's not let facts get in the way of a truly idiotic decree.
