NBC Channel 10 in Philadephia is reporting that Dick Clark has suffered a stroke.
They got this information from Access Hollywood, so take it with a grain or two of salt.
Here's the story:

Sez he's in the hospital, but it was only minor. Good.
-
I wish him the best, and a speedy recovery.
-
It's been characterized as 'minor' according to press releases. He should be OK, for now, but he's going to have to watch himself more closely from now on.
-
From the AP wire (edited):
A spokesman for the 75-year-old says Clark had the stroke this week and is hospitalized in the Los Angeles area.
A statement from Clark says doctors assure that he "should be back in the swing of things before too long." The statement adds that Clark expects to make the Times Square celebration.
Clark turned 75 on November 30th.

Guess he'll also have to drink a little more of that NuVim he pitches.

You're saying that Access Hollywood would deliberately misrepresent the facts?
-
He should be OK, for now, but he's going to have to watch himself more closely from now on.
Basically, he already should be, considering that he has a form of diabetes.

You're right about that, Dave. He was full of class.

I don't really know if NuVim is indicated for follks with diabetes, which both Dick Clark and yours truly have. I know I looked at a NuVim label once and put it back on the shelf...
