Title: Quick TPIR Question
Post by: J.R. on September 21, 2004, 01:40:16 PM
Here is the situation:

Two players at "The Big Wheel" spin and both tie at $1.00 winning $1000. Then during the tie-breaker spin, they both tie at the $1.00 again, winning $10,000 more.

So what happens when this occurs ? I know there would be another tie-breaker spin, but if the players hit one of the special areas again, do they win even more money ?

Thanks
-Joe R.

I believe this very situation happened back in Season 27 or 28.  As I recall, one of the spinners did indeed hit $1.00 three times in a row (what are the odds of that?), but did not receive any more money.

That is correct, Sammy. Bob even said, "You don't win any more money, but you have won a spot in the Showcase".

Well, the odds of doing precisely that are one in 8000, though you'd have a slightly better chance to get a dollar on your first opportunity since you get two spins.  The odds of being put in a situation where you'd even have the opportunity to spin a third time for a dollar would be a good deal higher.
