Post by: rugrats1 on August 10, 2004, 09:39:11 PM
According to PR Newswire ( http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/040810/nytu069_1.html (http://\"http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/040810/nytu069_1.html\") ), an all-Jewish channel called JTV is slated to launch in the US in early-2005. Part of the inaugural line-up is a game show called "Genesis 9:0":

Quote
"Genesis 9:0," a Bible Quiz Game Show which builds upon the Bible game
craze sweeping high schools and college campuses...

I wonder if this is the same game show as "Genesis", which was seen only once on Pax a few years ago?

For more details on JTV, see:

They must have been inspired by that mega-smash-hit Virtual Memory from TBN.  (Or was it EWTN?  And does it really even matter?)

I dunno... seeing who knows the most random names or places in the Bible seems to be missing the point, to me.

In honor of Randy Amasia, I will repeat one of his game show creations here:

Quote
The game that's kreplach above their heads, All Star Blintz!
Memo to any JTV programmers who may be reading this: please consider the above for your first schedule.  I hereby nominate Adam Strom as host, and I will play Jimmy Kimmel to Mr. Strom's Ben Stein.

Chances are that I won't get JTV in my neck of the woods so this Genensis 9:0 thing probably won't intrest me as much as watching a crusade anytime soon.

Not to mention that reality sensation "Kibbutz in the City."

Somehow, I'm now thinking of that "Remote Control" bit Race the Rabbi (and its cousin, Beat the Bishop).

"Oy!  Oy!  Oy!"
