I believe the GSN version is of the second edition, not the third.

Desperation, incarnate. This has to be at least, what, the 2nd or 3rd time they've tried to shill this And that parenthesized subtitle's gotta be the only thing keeping this guy out of hot water with Sony (who own TH through the Barris Acquisitions)

You think THAT'S desperation, have you ever run across the guy who's trying to sell his Banana Museum? He's been trying for years, with a price originally set at MILLIONS of dollars for his warehouse full of banana-themed knick-knacks. I think the last time I saw it, he was asking less than $100,000.
But yeah, this Treasure Hunt guy is certainly using an unconventional approach to selling his idea.

The same guy who was on TTTT90 with Elliott with that as his story, by any chance?
(Yeah, I know, how many people have banana museums. But still....)

Again??
It wasn't that long ago he tried to sell this idea. And I wonder if Sony has taken a peek at it for an opportunity to sue him.

Not to mention the British company that owns a different game show format with the title "Treasure Hunt" (Sony probably only has rights to the "Treasure Hunt" title in North America). That format was even revived last year on BBC2 as part of the Great Search for a Replacement for "The Simpsons" (to which "TWL" seems to be the winner).

I'm guessing they've determined he's not worth enough to bother suing.

And when you do a seach for "game show"...it pops up, because apparently, he has some idea for a banana-themed game show.

PROPOSAL: Tally Me Banana
SYNOPSIS: Isolated contestants earn bananas by correctly answering questions, and convert them to dollars by correctly guessing how many bananas their opponents have earned. Former "Tarzan" and veteran game-show man Ron Ely is your host.

Doesn't sound like a very a-peeling concept...
Thanks folks, I'll be in the TTD '90 room the next decade for THAT.
